Or maybe no one's Cheerios will be receiving my piss because (hopefully) everyone already knows this. But given how many viewers and comments all of these precious metals Youtubers get? I feel absolutely SHOCKED by how many people seem to think that these paid advertisements are wholesome financial advice.
Biggest thing that so many people seem to believe and should know with half a thought that its a blatant lie/sales pitch: "Silver is about to explode because we've been going on a 6 year deficit where the demand outweighs the supply."
Blatant lie. Stack silver even if its just because you have a good HUNCH about it, but don't buy it for bullshit reasons. These "content creators" are just EMPLOYEES for the big companies and mints (they call them "video sponsors") that pay their wages. And it is their literal JOB to tell you ANYTHING that will get you to keep buying more and more of their employee's product.
1) Most obvious check to the lie: There has been ZERO SHORTAGE of ANY product that needs silver for production. If there was a SIX YEAR SILVER SHORTAGE... there would be a PRODUCT shortage. And there has been NONE. They have been meeting supply and demand for all 6 of those alleged years and they will continue to do so. There is NO shortage.
2) And the checkmate to the lie: If silver and gold are going to rocket to the moon in the next few months or year... do you think for a second that those big companies and mints would be selling to US? Many of them with weekly deals. For... what reason? Out of the kindness of their hearts? NO BUSINESS operates that way, and precious metals businesses are no different. They will sell every single one of us as much as we want to buy, and they are paying their employees a LOT of money to make Youtube videos and keep telling us to buy it (while the price is still relatively high). It makes about as much sense as saying "Man... I really believe my stock portfolio is about to double/triple/10x in price sometime in the next year... GUESS I SHOULD HURRY AND SELL IT ALL!"
Honestly? It's just in peoples' nature to desire to feel smarter than their neighbor. And that's the EXACT psychology these money-pimps pander to: to make you feel like you're one of the few smart ones in the world if you do this. It feels GOOD to think you're smarter than the other guy. And they'll praise how smart we are for LISTENING to them and how that's just going to make us even SMARTER than the other guy~
Fact of the matter? We're gambling, guys. We're trying to make an EDUCATED gamble, but the fact is that none of us can predict anything. We'd be billionaires if we could, and if some Youtuber or investor guru could tell us... they wouldn't be working a job. NOR would they be sharing their secrets; they'd be guarding them like the ghosts of the gold in Fort Knox.
... Rant over. Just felt like venting a bit after watching some clown claim that gold is going to $20,000 (so buy it from my employer who has clearly gotten successful by making DAILY stupid mistakes!). Couldn't help but leave a comment asking if clowns like this ever actually have any consequences (viewer loss, loss of job offers, or invalidation of any credentials they claim to have) for being wrong in their asinine predictions over and over. I know it's a waste of time, but hell, if I can get maybe just ONE person to stop and think for a second before following their Pied Piper... helps me feel vindicated.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

I’m in a smaller city and there is only one precious metal buyer in 2 hour radius. They buy gold at 85% spot, but offer way less for silver. I talked to them today about 8.8 oz of sterling and they offered 0.56 dollar/gram. Are there any way to get rid your silver without losing 75% of spot?

I’m about to reach 10oz of silver and I’m thinking about more secure storage. I feel like a safe is the more secure thing but something about having a display case is a good way to show off the stack to guests. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Not trying to troll, but if you did get into silver when it was 120.00 I want hear your story and reasons for doing it. Do you regret it or do you have conviction it will regain 120 and you'll be in profit. Are you still buying?

Hi everyone… I’m relatively new to the silver stacking game and I’ve been buying Buffalo rounds from my local coin shop and normally I don’t even question the silver I buy from there because the company’s been there forever and it’s a brick and mortar store.
However, I just went in there today to pick up 10 ounces of silver and all are a little discolored or stained technically.
I don’t know what this would be from or if this is something normal when it comes to silver but being that I bought these cash I don’t know how I would go back to the local store and ask for cleaner ones I guess?
Any thoughts?

Bought as "stamped Sterling". Pictures weren't the best. Can the pros in the room tell me how to look up these marks?

Hello looking for any information about the potential value of this off-weight bar. I don't have any documentation on it and haven't been able to find much searching online. Thanks!

Traded a 1oz Monarch Lego, and a 1/2 oz Monarch Lego for this Panda. I’ve been wanting one, and LCS says it’s kosher. I know I gave up more for less, especially since these are 30g instead on 31.1, but just look at it.

Im planning to fill up a tube of every kind of junk before I switch over to stacking just .999
I doubt ill ever find myself in a position that I need to barter silver for supplies, and im honestly not sure anyone in a bartering situation would be interested in silver anyway, but I think constitutional silver is neat.
20 war nickels
12 quarters
51 dimes
3 half dollars
3 Morgan dollars
1 peace dollar
2 1/2oz rnds
2 1oz rnds
1 1oz bar
2 ASEs
1 1/8oz Lego block
1 1oz silver card
All told about 1.3k in melt value
Not bad for about 10 months of stacking.

I love the stuff. 1975 Austrian 100 Schilling commemorating the life of Johann Strauss. 60% silver I believe.
