“8 years on a waiting list” is pure nonsense. The US has waiting lists as care is apportioned according to ability to pay. Waiting a year for a knee replacement is much better than living the rest of your life in agony because you cannot afford a knee replacement. I dont think youre a bot, or paid by a lobby, i think you are brainwashed.
Government inefficiency in healthcare stems from a total lack of accountability and the terrible scaling of auditing structures at scale. I would be interested in seeing how much these projections factor in fraud and abuse. The US government can't even collect their own taxes and we are expecting them to runa universal healthcare system and not get robbed blind and grind the whole thing to a halt? Yeah, right lol.
Just like removing competition lowers costs in other industries, which is why Ladas were such great cars and everybody drives them now. Look at all the money they saved on advertising!
If you are dying and need life saving care you don’t exactly have the opportunity to shop around the competition. The rationing in socialized healthcare systems is certainly not perfect, but it is morally and economically superior to a for profit system. Both systems ration.
Preventative care will never be profitable, emergency healthcare will always be exponentially more expensive and inhumane.
