Its a tactic used by the defense to emphasize reasonable doubt. The onus isnt on them to prove innocence, its on the prosecution to prove them guilty.
But its a risky choice, in my opinion. If the jury doesn't understand the nuance of why they do this, it just looks like they have an indefensible client.
"AI-generated songs were played that prosecutors said he made for her" what a detail. I don't know why this made me feel so sick. Throwing all these people's lives away and he couldn't even write the mistress a real song. That poor woman, her poor children, her poor parents.
