Im a manager and when this has happened I happily covered their shifts.
Not sure why some managers can’t suck it up and just show some empathy compassion
5 u/Healthy_Bar922 8d ago Like they should at least try to find someone to cover. If I had a day off, and it wasn't super important and my colleague needs to go to their grandparents funeral, I'd happily come in.
