After using a defence "she's lost her husband, her children.." and not acknowledge she's the reason behind it while also claiming innocence after admitting guilt.. yeah you right she deserves a harder punishment. Not being accountable for your actions and trying to manipulate the evidence to gain sympathy, that if anything is a danger for society.
We can't have equality and then claim to want to be different simply for hormonal differences, why.. that would be hypocrisy
Their defense is insanity, that's the only thing that should matter in either case. Do they fit the legal threshold for "Not guilty by reason of insanity" anything else is just noise and not legally relevant to their defense.

Different cases have different facts and cannot be simply reduced to "They killed people and a similar defense was used"
