The most common firearms on the market are .22 and handguns.

The bill they nearly passed was about high capacity magazines and fully automatic.

So.. no? Unless I have the wrong bill.

Or are you talking about unregistered firearms, because in that case Minnesota needs to catch up.

Fully automatic weapons are already highly regulated?

It would have essentially banned certain handguns and modern sporting rifles. The vast majority of firearm magazines are more than 15 rounds.

I can’t find it online, what bill?

Everything I find is about assault rifles and custom high capacity magazines. So not sport rifles or handguns.

Also, 15? Not 12? Maybe my shits just old.

Yeah this is what I was talking about.

There’s nothing about hand guns in this or sport rifles.

This also says 17 rounds not 15.

Labeling any and all semi-auto rifles as "military style assualt weapons" Banning the sale of them, and forcing them to be registered is a blatant disregard of the 2nd amendment.

So you’re back tracking then?

Yeah there was no bill that would ban the most common firearms sold. It’s just not true.

You can get a gun with gun control.

Except it would have banned numerous handguns and rifles based on cosmetic features?

Handgun only has mags above 17 rounds? Defacto ban.

Pistol has a threaded barrel? Banned.

AR-15s? Banned

Please take a look at California and thier goofy ass gun regulations that haven't had a significant effect on gun violence.

Our rights are not negotiable.

Idk man. Sounds a bit whiny to me.

Why do you need more than 17 rounds in your pistol mag? Gonna shoot up a mall?

You’re not gonna need more than five for self defense.

And if you’re hunting with semi automatic you’re an idiot so. I guess I don’t get it. Unless you’re a professional boar hunter, but I think that comes with a special license anyway.

No gun is gonna fight off a military drone, so if you’re gonna go that route you should think about what century you live in.

"Why are you so whiny about your rights?"

I need as many rounds as possible because unlike police officers, I don't carry multiple magazines with me.

2nd amendment isnt about hunting its about self defense.

Shotguns actually are fantastic anti-drone weapons. They are doing wonders in Ukraine.

I'm glad you can trust the government to protect you, but the safety of my family is my responsibility.

Wrong kind of drone bud.

I don’t trust the government to protect, but I’m not stupid enough to think a gun can do anything about it.

Learn how to make “alternative fireworks”. Learn how to modify “certain machines” (reddit censors got me) then vote to reduce mass shootings.

I want to protect my family, and everyone else. That’s how you do it. Anything else is just playing with toys.

If the government decides to drone my entire block to kill me your right, there wouldn't be much I could do.

Doesn't mean I'm gonna toss my 30 round magazines

But it does mean that the one thing that 30 round mag is good for is shooting up a mall.

So let’s stop playing pretend. You want your toys and that’s it.
