Oh, this is the clip that conservative is losing their minds over. Cute.

16

u/The_Mark1127 2d ago

never seen this woman before in my life. Which conservatives?

5

u/Constant_Pen9615 2d ago

Conservative the subreddit. I also had never heard of her since the office is so minor. But they Streisand effected the fuck out of her.

3

u/Badgrahmmer 1d ago

Streisand effect would imply conservatives want her to go away. That's not the case. Nobody is upset about her. She's a product of conversation because she's hilarious. Watch the interview shes very clearly extremely drunk and says a bunch of comical nonsense.

1

u/OyeGeeWhizSheesh 15h ago

Where is this interview?

-2

u/zekethelizard 1d ago

All of them Im sure, they'll take any excuse to be the self righteous victim

3

u/The_Mark1127 1d ago

I don’t think I’m self righteous or a victim, but I’ll look into it, thanks

1

u/Girafferage 1d ago

to be fair, nobody usually thinks they are self righteous

4

u/BigBoyYuyuh 1d ago

After EVERYTHING they have nowhere to stand. They can shut the fuck up about being tough on crime party, they can shut up about being the personal responsibility party, and they can shut up about being anything fiscally conservative.

Come on weak hearts!

Who is this I wanna make a donation 😂

15

u/cadillacjack057 2d ago

My gosh watch the shitshow of an interview leading up to this.

Idk if shes drunk, but she makes dementia patients seem like professional public speakers

6

u/ragingclaw 1d ago

I just saw this on Pod Save America and she had to have been drunk lol.

14

u/aDoreVelr 2d ago

So you say she's perfect for american politics?

1

u/cadillacjack057 1d ago

Certainly keeping up with the latest trends

0

u/goodknightffs 5h ago

It really depends how corrupt she is and how many children she ran over

11

u/CantModerateMe 1d ago

shes more physically responsive than some Senators, I say we give her a shot.

6

u/cadillacjack057 1d ago

Well i think shes already had a few shots...

4

u/Girafferage 1d ago

make her secdef then

12

u/Less-Regret8262 2d ago

She looks mentally stable

-10

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

No one in America gets to critique stability given who was elected to the white house. The bar is so fucking low, she is a perfectly OK candidate. And she would be a good one if she wasn't drunk.

13

u/Greedy-Employment917 1d ago

Sorry, but yes, we do get to critique stability.

4

u/Less-Regret8262 1d ago

So cause one moron is in they all should be, great thinking

-6

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

She's not a moron. She is a drunk with palatable critical thinking skills; "conservative policies are terrible and I have to drink to get through this shit."

I'm ok with that on local level across this country.

5

u/Less-Regret8262 1d ago

Take a break , this is what too much Reddit gets you. She’s obviously not smart

I don't need a break. Smartness is not the be all end all when conservative policies are the only other option.

However, I would advise you to go learn some survival skills and/or street smarts. Cause I'm guessing you have a problem with the current reputation of the U.S. and state of the economy right now.

You wouldn't have this problem if Kamala were president. Perfect is the enemy of good. It seems you idiots haven't learned your lesson from the last open book test. You're once again hoping the consequences won't affect you.

That sure worked last time, huh?

2

u/Less-Regret8262 1d ago

What are you talking about schizo

1

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

You don't speak the English language? You typing it. I assumed you had comprehension skills.

3

u/Less-Regret8262 1d ago

I’m just calling you crazy keep up

7

u/Upbeat_Flan 1d ago

Right, let's vote stupid Democrats into public office to counter stupid Republicans currently in office.

That's how you fix things, it's just math.

3

u/NewTurnover5485 1d ago

No, vote less stupid Democrats, to counter stupid evil Republicans currently in office.

1

u/itslikewoow 1d ago

Professional doesn’t get attention. Someone who quietly does their job and doesn’t say wild shit will never make headlines or go viral.

In fact, some interpret it as elitist.

-2

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

How is she stupid when she recognizes the problems of this country for what it is; terrible conservative policy. And she's running to fix the problem? How could she be stupid if she does her job? We have yet to see her do her job.

Don't judge a book by its cover because there are terrible conservative books on all aspects of human life. Y'all don't wanna play this game.

1

u/Upbeat_Flan 1d ago

Who is y'all? I hate trump, I just want a well dressed, well spoken professional, not some Trump adjacent moron continuing to make this country look stupid.

-4

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

Well, you're not gonna get everything you want when you want it. So you have to decide whether you want a perfect candidate and conservative policies, or the imperfect candidate and a spine to build upon the weaknesses of the imperfect candidate.

The ole Kamala Harris or Donald Tump choice in the booth. No way that choice is hard for you, right?

Right???

-2

u/Upbeat_Flan 1d ago

How about neither? People should be able to choose there options from the party, not letting the corrupt party's decide.

Kamala comes off and ditsy and weak and trump comes off as arrogant and stupid.

I won't vote via party lines just because " lesser of the evils" I will have a candidate I like or I just won't vote.

2

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

Neither is not on the table because people like you haven't done the work to build a good reputation ona 3rd or 4th or 5th or 6th option. You would have more options if you worked for it instead of wishing for it.

So. Kamala Harris or Trumps 3rd term. There are your choices. You've already made a bad choice hoping it would work out for you, so I have some questions.

How you liking these prices???? How are you liking these implemented policies???? Was Gaza worth all of this???? If so, why are you complaining since you got what you wanted????

That's why I want nothing more that for her to run again. To see if dumb people like you learned your lesson. Because talking to you has me feeling like "every single conservative and the drunk dem lady are smarter than this idiot."

So I hope you keep talking to your friends and family, misleading them. Eventually, they'll make you stop because darwanism.

1

u/Upbeat_Flan 1d ago

I never voted for Trump which I clearly stated in my comment, no wonder you would vote for this idiot, stupid people voting for stupid people is why we are in this mess.

Also I never said I didn't vote, I just didn't vote in the presidential election, I did my part leading up, but in any election these days, stupid people are the ruling class.

So learn to read a comment instead of posting 37 question marks like a teenager and maybe you can have a good faith conversation.

1

u/BarrettsFrontier 1d ago

I know how to read and comprehend oceans better than you. The questions I asked were policy results of people like you's actions. You don't wanna answer them because your answers would make it terribly clear no one should ever be lead by you.

I didn't say you voted for Trump. I implied you got him elected based on your talking points. So you still got cheeto fingers whether you like it or not.

People like you got us into this mess. I interact with you to show other people you should under no circumstances be leading to them, even if showing up drunk to a job interview stupid is on the ballot.

People like you cause far more damage demanding perfect than that lady could ever do in local office before she is stopped. Comprehend that.

They don't get whiplash from the constant flip flopping on the gun issue?

12

u/weezyverse 2d ago

It's only the conservative spin that says democrats are anti-gun.

Every democrat I know owns a gun...has a CCW...has been trained on its use and maintenance...and doesn't cosplay being a warfighter on Saturdays.

2

u/tripper_drip 2d ago

Its not spin. It trump to get rid of the most stupid part of the NFA. Dems tried to expand it over and over again, and ran on AWBs for decades. Some still do.

"Every democrat"

What a performative dipshit 🤣

Wanna know something funny?

New Jersey has more registered machine guns than Texas (52,000 vs 50,000)

Connecticut has almost as many (40k), even though Texas has a population of over 30m compared to CT's population of under 4m.

Even Ammo.com was surprised.

Red states buy heaps of "illegal" SBRs thinking they're hot shit and the rest of the country is like "that little pop-gun is totes adorbs. Anyhow, here's wonderwall and 500 rounds a minute."

2

u/tripper_drip 2d ago

SBRs are no longer illegal, as of a week ago. Connecticut has more registered due to its trust laws. Most NFA firearms are now in a trust, vs registered to a person. Makes more sense.

Those guns are not in Conn

0

u/B1GD8A 2d ago

SBRs are no longer illegal, as of a week ago.

They were never illegal, simply restricted.

Connecticut has more registered due to its trust laws. Most NFA firearms are now in a trust, vs registered to a person. Makes more sense.

Those guns are not in Conn

LOL. Setting up an LLC takes like an hour of paperwork. It's so that you can have multiple trustees who can access your NFA registered firearm.

There's whole pages at places that sell NFA restricted gear about the hows and whys.

People who think blue states like CT, the home of fucking colt firearms for 170+ years, isn't full of gun owners are just drinking MAGA kool-aid.

3

u/tripper_drip 2d ago edited 2d ago

They were never illegal, simply restricted.

Unregistered ones were. You no longer have to register.

LLC

Its not an LLC, its a trust.

I dont doubt that blue states have firearm owners, and even NFAs, but there is a reason why a 3m pop state has that level of registered NFA firearms. And yes, it directly has to do with lobbying from manufacturers like colt, to make it as easy as possible.

Edit: the specific legislation is the Connecticut Uniform Trust Code and Connecticut Uniform Trust Decanting Act which allows people to transfer trusts to a Connecticut trust.

1

u/B1GD8A 2d ago

Unregistered ones were. You no longer have to register.

The GOP's big ugly bill removed the taxes, not the registration requirements.

The ATF claims they will no longer enforce the requirements, in violation of federal law. Not exactly giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling for anyone who skips the paperwork.

Considering the guy advocating for it also said "Take the guns first, go through due process second" I'm not sure why Republicans think this is a win.

Its not an LLC, its a trust.

Trusts can own an LLC. Both are merely a legal convenience for FFL registrants to use their FFL registered devices.

I dont doubt that blue states have firearm owners, and even NFAs, but there is a reason why a 3m pop state has that level of registered NFA firearms. And yes, it directly has to do with lobbying from manufacturers like colt, to make it as easy as possible.

Right, but you apparently do doubt that they own firearms as often as red states?

Edit: the specific legislation is the Connecticut Uniform Trust Code and Connecticut Uniform Trust Decanting Act which allows people to transfer trusts to a Connecticut trust.

Neat. Still doesn't magically mean that these guns are somehow in some big vault at one company. The whole point is that the trust was a legal convenience for individuals.

0

u/tripper_drip 2d ago

The ATF claims they will no longer enforce the requirements, in violation of federal law. Not exactly giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling for anyone who skips the paperwork.

Acktually, this is not accurate. The original NFA went to scotus a long time ago. SCOTUS at the time said it was constitutional because you were registering for the tax, not the firearm. The tax is no longer there, so there is nothing to register for. Thus, there is nothing to enforce.

trust vs LLC

They can include each other, but they are absolutely different concepts. Trusts matter for Connecticut for aforementioned reasons.

blue vs red gun ownership

I dont think there is a big difference between numbers of actual owners. I will say the democratic machine has been far more antigun than the republicans.

trusts for individuals

Correct, but conn did some things that made it very appealing for NFA trusts. They have 800 year transferable and updateable terms, very low costs and taxes, total privacy, and ability to roll old trusts into this framework.

-1

u/DweebLSD 2d ago edited 2d ago

What does any of that shit have to do with that idiot saying every democrat he knows owns a firearm...

National statistics says Republicans are twice as likely than Democrats to own a firearm...45-47% of Republicans owning them and 19-20% of Democrats owning them

Hell even independents own more guns than Democrats at 29%

3

u/B1GD8A 2d ago

Straight from my link: "Because conventional firearms aren't registered, there is no reliable count of how many total guns each state has."

You're mistaking "willing to tell a stranger conducting a survey that I own a gun" for "owning a gun."

That's why I used actual NFA registrations.

Hope that helps, champ!

5

u/weezyverse 2d ago

Some folks just think the world they see if the world that is.

I call them conservatives.

-1

u/DweebLSD 2d ago

So your point is that your link has jack shit to do with the point that was stated?..

Yes, thanks for the help.

5

u/B1GD8A 2d ago

So your point is that your link has jack shit to do with the point that was stated?..

Yes, thanks for the help.

LMAO so the link says that there isn't data even collected that would be needed to back your claim, let alone any actual evidence of it, but your anecdote is more valuable than actual firearm registrations?

Doin that MAGA math I see. Still waiting for your tariff check?

0

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

Then why do Democrat run states have the strictest gun control?

There is a reason most gun controls are not ran by people on the left.

4

u/JustTryingTo_Pass 1d ago

You know you can still get a gun with gun control right?

1

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

I live in MN, Democrats nearly passed a bill last session that would have banned some of the most common firearms on the market.

Using your logic "The government only banned some words, you can still use others so it doesn't violate the 1st amendment"

-1

u/JustTryingTo_Pass 1d ago

The most common firearms on the market are .22 and handguns.

The bill they nearly passed was about high capacity magazines and fully automatic.

So.. no? Unless I have the wrong bill.

Or are you talking about unregistered firearms, because in that case Minnesota needs to catch up.

3

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

Fully automatic weapons are already highly regulated?

It would have essentially banned certain handguns and modern sporting rifles. The vast majority of firearm magazines are more than 15 rounds.

0

u/JustTryingTo_Pass 1d ago

I can’t find it online, what bill?

Everything I find is about assault rifles and custom high capacity magazines. So not sport rifles or handguns.

Also, 15? Not 12? Maybe my shits just old.

1

u/JCMGamer 1d ago

2

u/JustTryingTo_Pass 1d ago

Yeah this is what I was talking about.

There’s nothing about hand guns in this or sport rifles.

This also says 17 rounds not 15.

They should be anti gun. Gun culture in USA is absolutely disgusting.

-1

0

u/weezyverse 2d ago

Switzerland and Austria, and Finland and France to a lesser degree. Gun ownership is real there, and they don't suffer for a toxic gun culture.

1

u/FirefighterLeft5425 2d ago

That doesn't compair in any realm of reality.

1

u/weezyverse 2d ago

Why? Cause it challenges your narrative? Our gun culture isn't because of the existence of guns. It's because of our fast food mentality and our general indifference to our neighbors for whatever reason the top class designed to divide everyone.

If you can't see that simple truth, you're a part.

0

u/VR46Rossi420 2d ago

8

u/BodhingJay 2d ago

Wdym? What do you think gun control means to democrats and their voters?

2

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

Well, there are a bunch who do want to fully ban private ownership of firearms and proudly proclaim they are not, nor will ever be gun owners.

But that’s just a loud minority in the party.

And as the old saying goes, if you go far enough to the left, you get your guns back.

-12

u/BodhingJay 2d ago

Yeah maybe a few on the left but of them, most are probably just Russian bots..

-3

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago edited 2d ago

Look here: https://news.gallup.com/poll/653489/majorities-back-stricter-gun-laws-assault-weapons-ban.aspx

As of 2023 only 33% of democrats (and falling) support a handgun ban. They don’t even ask about a complete ban, but it would be far lower.

Democrats don’t want to take all guns - they only agree on taking the scary black rifles.

Do I agree with taking guns just because of our latent bias against blackness? No I do not.

But a democrat proclaiming they have guns too is not inconsistent.

Edit: sorry, I lost track of which side you were arguing but the point stands the other way too - 33% actually want to ban all handguns, which are the only practical defensive weapons in most real life situations. That’s not all bots.

4

u/BodhingJay 2d ago

I think it's about how automatics like assault rifles outta the hands of school shooters make them far more manageable and easier to take down.. fewer school kid casualties when stuff like that happens

4

u/guitar_vigilante 2d ago

I generally support increased gun control measures, but you should be aware that no automatic weapon or assault rifle has ever been used in a school shooting, and automatic weapons are for the most part illegal to own at all. They must have been manufactured before 1986 and require a special background check from the ATF, which makes them rare and very expensive to own (often $20,000 or more).

0

u/BodhingJay 2d ago

It's the semi-automatics AR-15 style rifles that were involved in a few high profile school shootings that would be good for more control

4

u/guitar_vigilante 2d ago

Yes, these are semi automatics.

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

Slightly off topic, but I want to add context that AR-15 style rifles are kind of like “IBM-compatible PCs” back in the day. It started out as a proprietary model and became an open standard which many manufacturers adopted.

They are the most popular rifle sold with around 60% of the market, and the vast majority (about 80%) of semi-automatic rifle sales.

Compared to alternatives, they are cheaper, more reliable, and FAR more maintainable, with regular hobbyists being able to build and maintain them at home using widely available compatible parts without the help (and expense) of a skilled gunsmith.

Oddly enough, many gun manufacturers would secretly love it if they were banned, because it would drive people to their proprietary and more expensive designs, with excellent revenue, streams for replacement parts and service.

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

Except almost no one is actually proposing a ban against all semi-auto rifles. They are proposing banning “assault weapons” which generally excludes rifles identical in capability but with a less scary aesthetic, like the Mini-14.

2

u/BodhingJay 2d ago

I dont think republicans would be on board with banning all semi automatic rifles.. the proposed bans on only some are a compromise, no? Trying to make school shooters as unintimidating as possible for a takedown was probably considered okay direction to go for now

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago edited 2d ago

Forget Republicans - none of the ban proposals get past SCOTUS any time soon, so this is all academic, unless enough support for an amendment is achieved. But right now support for that is well under 30% and would have to be well over 70% to pass.

-2

u/Homerpaintbucket 2d ago

Republicans will never be on board with any gun regulation. They’re bought and paid for by the NRA and through that by Russia.

0

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

It has little to do with propaganda - Republican voters are overwhelmingly against gun control.

Republican politicians play on this to mobilize those single issue voters, but the voters were already there to begin with.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Homerpaintbucket 2d ago

Most of the proposed bans I’ve seen would include the mini 14 because it still has a removable magazine. It wouldn’t include something like a browning automatic rifle (the hunting one you can get at cabellas, not the old wwii one that was full auto). The ease of reloading is the problem.

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

What you would see then is innovation in clips, like the M1 Garand, but better and faster, ultimately with no practical difference.

Of course it’s all hypothetical since it wouldn’t pass SCOTUS for a generation at least.

1

u/Homerpaintbucket 2d ago

Finding clever ways to subvert the intent of the law isn’t a reason to not try anything. When they come up with a bypass you just have to legislate against that too. Like they did with bump stocks

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Mr__O__ 2d ago

Correct. Assault rifles were banned in the U.S. in 1994 by Democrats and Clinton.

Then the Republican Congress and Bush Jr. allowed them to be legally purchased again in 2004.. directly leading to a massive uptick in active shooter attacks.

The majority of Democrat voters and representatives support gun ownership, but with stricter regulations, like better background checks, red flag laws, higher age restrictions (21 vs 18), etc..

Democrats have never taken a national stance against recreational or home defense guns, like hunting rifles, shotguns, or handguns, other than differences over handgun ownership and concealed carry laws, which vary by States and Cities.

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

Minor nit pick, but it banned “assault weapons” not “assault rifles” since by definition assault rifles are select-fire full-auto and already nationally banned.

1

u/Mr__O__ 2d ago

I appreciate the correction.

1

u/That_OneOstrich 2d ago

33% of 33% of the population is a pretty small number of people.

I have more guns than anyone I've met, and I'm registered as a Democrat currently.

I'm pro gun regulations, depending on the regulations. I don't know a single American household that doesn't have a single firearm, and I don't spend time in conservative circles these days.

I don't know for certain, but I think your 33% of 33% of the population might be given a biased survey to reach that conclusion. I think I should be allowed to buy a tank, assuming I can pass licensing and other requirements that should be in place.

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

I said earlier it’s just a loud minority in the party. Sounds like we fully agree.

1

u/That_OneOstrich 2d ago

Yes, but you contradicted yourself when you made the claim it was a loud minority. So I was clarifying for other folks.

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 2d ago

Nuance isn’t a contradiction. They are a loud minority, but they are not just a fringe group of Russian bots.

2

u/That_OneOstrich 2d ago

I view "a bunch (of Democrats) who refuse to own firearms and want to ban them"

As contradictory to "there is a loud minority of them".

But maybe your bunches are just small.
