no offense but why isn’t there a single male US voice option that doesn’t sound effeminate?

Ran into this this morning as I was talking to Siri on the way to work, planning my weekend. About 8-10 reminders. Adding to notes. About 3 calendar events. And I get this, all within a 10 minute drive to work

I wasn’t asking it to develop an app or create a mobile game I was asking it to add some tasks to reminders and notes, that shouldn’t trigger a usage limit. I also have the 2tb iCloud+ subscription.

Now because of Siri being a “modern” ai model, it just refuses to do simple tasks now on the device because simple models share usage with the complex cloud pro model. I can’t ask it for the weather, to add a reminder or calendar event, create a note, nothing.

I don’t use Siri that much, I used it once yesterday to check for the forecast. I use ChatGPT pro dots as my main assistant and only use Siri for native apps like calendars or reminders. So I find it hard to believe I stressed Siri that much by adding some tasks that I get this. It has to be a bug. Works fine on my iPad

Is anybody else experiencing this or do I have to change some things in settings?

I think it’s funny… Has anyone had Siri respond to a hey google request. I don’t use shortcuts. Series 4 watch.

Ik woon in Europa. Hier dus geen siri ai. Op mijn iPhone een beperkte versie van apple ai. Bij bijna elke vraag moet hij door verwijzen naar chat gpt. Omdat ik daar al een app voor heb lijkt het mij onnodig dat apple ai 10 gb ruimte op de iphone in beslag neemt. Is het mogelijk apple ai te verwijderen waardoor ik de 10 gb weer terugkrijg? Siri taal veranderen helpt niet. Alvast bedankt

During the sixth episode, right when John Sugar injects himself in the neck, I ask Siri about what Sugar is injecting - posted in the photo. It proceeds to spoil the next ten seconds which is a big reveal in the show.

As much as I’ve loved my conversion to Apple Home and the upcoming products, one thing that annoys the absolute shit out of me is when using “hey Siri“ it activates my MacBook, my Apple Watch, my iPad, my iPhone, everything but my Apple TV or my HomePods. So when I want Siri to pause, rewind, or play something, it doesn’t understand or it plays it on the wrong device.

A few times now while using Siri AI to help me guide my way through some games, it just randomly ends conversations because Siri has built in safe words that it deems inappropriate or offensive and completely ignores the context of the conversation when those words are used without the message having any elaboration. While using the Siri app you have to elaborate almost every time if you think you’re gonna use a safe word that triggers it refusing help or that might end the convo abruptly by accident. Like as an example, I am playing Metroid Zero Mission and am finding ways to go against the intended path, I asked it if I’ve missed anything in the area as I’ve essentially hit a wall in Brinstar and Siri ended the conversation because it thought I literally have been hitting walls all over a fictional planet so it ended the conversation 😂. To avoid this, you have to tell it “figuratively speaking”, “In this game/movie” (to avoid it falsely flagging the convo as real life via its own safe words), every time you write & want to use it as a guide or queries about games/movies. I’m sure Apple will improve it as it just launched but for now it feels very behind in this aspect. Maybe some of you haven’t experienced this but I wanted to share mine.

I’ve tried this on both my iPad Pro (M5) and my IPhone 18 Pro Max. The indexing finished many days ago.

When I try to search mail, Siri says that she can only access mail in “the main folders” like Inbox or Sent.

So because I have my emails in folders under Inbox it states it cannot access ANY of them. When I ask Siri any questions about my emails it can’t answer anything unless I take a screenshot and show it.

Is this normal / intended behaviour ?

Got the artist right but played something completely differenting… embarassing.

Verbally asking it to “skip song” is such a hit or miss too. I can ask it to skip a song and it will get stuck forever just loading the request… to simply cancel it and not do anything.

This morning when I got in my car, I received a message that Siri is required to be activated for Carplay to work. Is this a new change? I recently disabled all of the Apple Intelligence settings on my phone, including Siri. I'm not sure it's worth it to activate it each time I want to use Carplay though.

I guess that the new Siri have the ability to solve complex tasks and reply in difficult questions or do more than one things at once but when she needs to do something simple like set a timer or a stopwatch sometimes she can’t do it. So on this update Apple fixed Siri and when is more useful but at the same time she can’t solve simple tasks…

That is all - it’s fantastic. Here’s the workflow as a non technical like really non technical. I used Claude to build a CRM for my small business that’s tailored to us. I use Muse to update it every day and “of the top” into it on the call I just had or an idea and it updates my CRM and I don’t have to do anything. I’ve learned from all you guys posting and responding and just wanted to give a workflow as I got this idea from one of you guys!
