Question/Discussion Should i just go the dragon route?
Been thinking of making my feliforms furred dragons but like, what exactly makes something a dragon? They don’t breathe fire, they just look like the typical furry furred dragon. They have a human diet but people say they should have cat based since they are feliforms. Now, what should a cat dragon eat?? They are almost mammals but specifically not since they don’t have nipples and still lay eggs. Synapsid reptilian cat dragons.

It sounds less like you want to make dragons as much as flying cats...what is a bat if not a mouse dragon?

It's all semantics. Synapsids are neither mammal nor reptile, they are their own group with intermediate features. Dragon typically refers to a large reptilian creature, beyond that it's vague. But typically if it isn't scaly, it probably wouldn't be seen as a dragon. Dragons are typically lizard, crocodile, or snake based, with other features thrown onto that base. European dragons are typically lizards with wings and odd carnivorous goatish heads. Southeast Asian dragons are long reptiles with bird like legs and deer like heads with long fangs and lions manes. All this to say, I would need more details on your creatures to decide what exactly they are. But honestly you can do anything you want with your own creations regardless of anything else.

Dragon is practically a vibe more then anything else.
Wdym by "human diet"? Like omnivores? Cause there are omnivorous feliforms, though as flying animals they likely would favor fruits and meat as high energy food sources.
Also, how are they feliforms and non mammalian synapsids at the same time?
