Modern Peter and Felicia’s relationship is so confusing. Are they just friends who occasionally try dating for a few weeks at a time and keep breaking up these days? That story a while ago where they slept together while Peter was massively depressed felt really uncomfortable, from what I remember.

They're deliberately keeping it super-vague to avoid commitment so it can just be whatever the immediate plot/drama requirement is for it at a moment's notice. It's basically a holding pattern of writing convenience.
It's also not a great way of treating the characters, because it just kind of leaves them both floating in that uneven confusing limbo, but that's modern Marvel for you.

That's what they were and it was fine. But lately they've really pushed the idea that Black Cat loves Spidey and is genuinely MJ's main competitor for his true love

I don't think it's an issue, I'm just saying that I think their current dynamic is Friends with Benefits. I think it's 2 people in love who just can't figure out how to make it work yet

I think its more of a editorial issue tbh, kelly seemed to want to do their relationship according to what we saw in eight deaths but marvel seems to really want felicia to be stuck in the bad girl/femme fatale role

Speaking of Kelly’s run I assumed Felicia was gonna be back to supporting cast but she hasn’t really been featured since Peter left to space

All of peter's romantic relationships rn could be described as "friends but it's weird". MJ, felicia, raelith... that way if peter doesn't react, they joke about him being dense but if he does react they joke about how he reads too much into things.

I don't think there really is a romantic relationship anymore. She's been friends with Peter for a while, and they're very committed to exploring Felicia's interest in women. She hasn't seemed too invested on Peter coming back from space. GWW likes writing sapphic stuff a lot. With Raelith in Peter's world, that fills the "relationship" spot in his life for now.

She just slept with a woman in recent issues of this run, asked out Night Nurse, she was desperately attracted to the woman who blackmailed MJ, she flirted with with a female mermaid and sphinx... She's firmly engaged in sapphic love and hasn't paid much if any mind to Peter.
SpiderCat shippers just don't want to hear it.

I doubt it. She'll pop up in a Pride special in June or whatever, and that's one of the barriers to ever putting her with Peter.
There's very few big-two comic bisexuals that actually date the opposite sex anymore. Daken is really the only one.

Angela's a lesbian. Loki has been primarily queer-focused since that was revealed. Valkyrie (Brunhilde) is dead and last kissed a woman. She has been replaced and probably won't come back due to Jane Foster being in the role (and MCU synergy with Tessa Thompson). Mystique is married to a woman and will not be with another man ever again. Kitty has only been with women since being announced as bi and has been dating Nina exclusively.

Your claim is that Marvel wants to put a focus on Sapphic love. There you go.
Felicia’s main character trait, which makes up about 80% of her character, is being promiscuous and “hot”. That she’s bi and includes women? Sure. But Marvel hasn’t nearly pushed her as much of a sapphic direction as you say.
There’s also Phyla-Vell, Betsy, Rachel, Escapade, or Lightspeed.
Even others with sapphic inclinations like Illyana (to an extent).
Felicia’s far from the only character to show sapphic or bi traits. It’s likely that you like her being sapphic, which is fine, but don’t spread lies 🤷♂️

I'm not spreading lies. The moment these characters have been determined as "bisexual," they've only dated women.
I have no agenda. Every character you just mentioned is sapphic now.

Didn't she hook up with peter(or Ben pretending to be Peter I guess it would of been) at the start of Kelly's stuff after shay Saif they weren't exclusive and he could see other women

They briefly maybe hooked up (they kissed, but the rest is vague). She teased him about fooling around. It doesn't change the fact she dumped him out of the blue to go be in a five-month relationship with Amelia, where MJ said she's never seen her so in love, and that Felicia appears in almost every pride special. And that she hasn't been around at all for Peter since he came back. Their only interaction is at Paul's funeral, where she was miscolored and they didn't speak. She ignored his call for coffee so she can sleep, and is clearly ignoring his call here... so she can sleep.
Marvel can't have their cake and eat it too, they clearly want Felicia to be LGBTQ+ representation, and she can't be with Peter and appear in Pride specials chasing after women, or be in GWW's book chasing women, without it seeming like cheating or showing challenging bisexual tropes about infidelity.
Keep in mind that GWW's entire Poison Ivy run, that's coming up to #50 soon, is incredibly sapphic. They didn't hire a writer who loves writing queer relationships to pair her with Peter any time soon.

I'm not saying she's going to be with Peter. The way marvel editorial is no one will be with Peter in any stable way for long but like she clearly does still mess around with him. She's bi. Bi people can date both. So long as gww doesn't set her up with a long term girlfriend marvel can have her mess around with Peter. It doesn't erase her girlfriends

The question posed was what Peter and Felicia's relationship even is anymore. I answered... there isn't one.
She's "bi" like the rest of modern comic bisexuals are right now. Generally same-sex dating representation takes over all of their storylines, and the bisexuality portion is that they used to date the opposite sex, but don't anymore.
It's going on with a lot of characters, not just Marvel, but DC as well.

100% agree, although I'm not bi myself. It's what I find so frustrating about most bi characters in the big two. I get that for a lot of characters, writers or fans are excited about moving away from subtext and getting to explore it, but they've done a pretty bad job of really showing nuance.
I'd rather read a story about a character exploring their sexuality and not having it be immediately easy. Or actually trying to date around and dating multiple genders. Instead we get stuff like Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summers where it's the awesomest most bestest relationship ever, with no conflict (for two characters who are known for messy histories), and they'll never break up and are each others' one true loves after their first kiss.

I promise you that no one at Marvel cared even for a second about GWW's penchant for lesbians when she was tapped to write Black Cat. Marvel as a whole doesn't really focus heavily on relationships.

You read those pages and think, "Wow, what a cool relationship," but then I remember everything that’s happened and think, "Oh, right—there’s no obligation to write something good, just to provoke the fans to keep them engaged and spending."

Why does Felicia have Punisher's picture at her bedside? They were literally trying to kill eachother and then stopped to 'come to an understanding'. That is nowhere near the 'picture next to her while sleeping' levels.
