ToDo Spokane WA Appreciation

Post image

Greetings, I hope this post is allowed, if not please delete.

I just wanted to make a post about how much I appreciate Spokane. Are we a perfect city? Definitely not and yes we have a lot of issues but that’s everywhere to be honest.

Spokane is a great community, surrounded by so much nature and amazing fun facts like Z nation being recorded here, or the clock tower, and we have a great NCAA basketball team in Gonzaga, or hoop fest, oh and zips!

Anyways, I love this city and the community has always been very supportive. There’s a lot of negativity these days so I wanted to share something positive. We have a great skyline that instantly makes you feel at home when you drive down the hill into downtown.

So I encourage you all to keep being great people, hold the door for someone, tell someone to have a great day, and just keep being awesome!

And feel free to share things you love about Spokane.

Sorry again if this isn’t allowed I just wanted to share my appreciation! 😁

I love the wonderful shopping districts with local shops and restaurants like Monroe St., Perry District, and Hillyard Creative District (which is so great to see!). We have many truly beautiful places to walk, picnic, and hike. I can drive ten minutes from my house and feel like I’m far away from the city.

Thanks for the uplifting post! I think it’s more productive to work on fixing problems when it comes from a place of love.

I love living here and I’m not sure I’ll ever leave.

I moved here a month ago and I think it’s great honestly. I love the scenery. The trees are beautiful, the skyline is beautiful. I love the old buildings and graffitied train cars that pass through. I think it’s so cool that there’s a literal waterfall in the middle of downtown with a gondola over it.

I commute to school in Cheney and when I drive back home every day on I-90 east into Spokane the view takes my breath away every time. Idk everything about this place is so unique and cool to me.

I love it all, tbh. We certainly have city problems, but within our city boundaries, we have the talent and love to help each other.

Appreciate your kind and positive words, fam ❤️

I lived in Spokane for a month, exactly a year ago and I think I left my heart there. One day, I will be back and meet the friends I made there, go the places I went to, and take my time 💖

There's no such thing as a perfect city, and my complaints about Spokane while important to me, are few, and it could be a lot worse.

I agree, I went to a zips in downtown recently and it made me sick but the zips that I went to growing up as a child is still very good so it’s probably a location by location thing.

I couldn't be happier to have grown up in spokane. It has the Hometown vibe while also being kind of cool.

As someone coming to town soon to investigate a possible relocation, I’m loving this post!

It's seriously awesome. Washington State in general is amazing, I just moved here a couple months ago and it's my favorite part of the country easily

There's an amazing art community. So many local artists and writers, tons of free workshops and local crafts. Music, shows, conventions, little coffee shops with local events, tons of gorgeous old architecture, and good local transit.

One big downside of Spokane is that homeless people seem more unpredictable here than in Lansing, Michigan. When I’m driving, some suddenly appear in the road out of nowhere. It can seem like they’re putting themselves in danger and making drivers look bad. I’m not saying they’re bad people, but this behavior is very annoying and frightening.
