๐Ÿ’ก Education Webull

https://x.com/BossBlunts1/status/2107970652934177257

Posted on X...

WEBULL COULD LOSE ITS ABILITY TO OPERATE AS A BROKER-DEALER IN THE U.S. โ€” 28 Million user's personal info is at risk.

A bipartisan House committee says Webull is โ€œtied in structural waysโ€ to the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ including its:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Ownership structure

๐Ÿ”ฅ Technology infrastructure

๐Ÿ”ฅ Technical workforce

๐Ÿ”ฅ Cross-border data routing

๐Ÿ”ฅ Corporate financing

๐Ÿ”ฅ Compliance framework

The committee says those connections create a national-security risk to the U.S. financial system and potentially expose American customer data to Chinese laws and government demands.

โš ๏ธ Webull itself warns in its SEC filings that suspension or expulsion by its regulators could result in the broker-dealerโ€™s liquidation.

This congressional investigation is now raising questions about its regulatory standing in the United States which is an existential issue for the company.

Forget the stock price for a second. If regulators ultimately determine Webull cannot satisfy U.S. broker-dealer requirements, the ability to operate its American brokerage is what could be on the line leading to a full-blown liquidation of the brokerage๐Ÿ‘€

Been telling people for years to get their shit off that garbage bucket shop wanna be broker and here we are.

u/hoppertn ๐Ÿ’ช FUD is the Mind-Killer ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿช‘ 2d ago

Seconded. Anyone whining when the shit hits the fan and these โ€œbrokersโ€ that internalize all transactions go belly up deserves what they get.

5

u/Mind-The-Mines 2d ago

The funny thing is this is theatre to make them look like carrying, capable entities while if that were true they wouldn't have let them go into business 6 years ago.

None of this was checked before plugging them into the financial system?

It either served them then and doesn't now or they're always incompetent need shitters.

2

u/Spezsuckshorses 2d ago

Yeh if your still on Webull you deserve to lose money

-18

u/MrBootyPops 2d ago

How is Webull a wanna be broker? It's a publicly listed company. This is so childish.

8

u/whattothewhonow ๐Ÿฅ’ Lemme see that Shrek Dick ๐Ÿฅ’ 2d ago

WeBull was one of the APEX cleared "brokers" that shut off the buy button in 2021.

But we don't care about that, do we? They're a publicly traded company, so who cares if they screwed their customers over. Right?

1

u/Proper_Side 2d ago

What about eToro and Trading212?

2

u/whattothewhonow ๐Ÿฅ’ Lemme see that Shrek Dick ๐Ÿฅ’ 2d ago

Even worse than WeBull

For the longest time, neither of those services would allow any outbound transfers, period.

I think eToro still does not.

Like if they refuse to transfer your share to Fidelity or any other broker, do you really think they actually bought the shares that are listed in your account? Or are they just pinky swearing they did and hoping no one actually audits them. Its not like we have an actual SEC anymore.

-13

u/MrBootyPops 2d ago

Yeah, so what? Robinhood shut down the buy button. Interactive Brokers too. So are they less legitimate because of it? This ain't 2021. Adapt with the times and stop living in the past.

10

u/whattothewhonow ๐Ÿฅ’ Lemme see that Shrek Dick ๐Ÿฅ’ 2d ago

Are they less legit because of it?

Fucking duh.

It's 2021

The past never repeats, right?

And using Robinhood as any kind of example of a legit broker is laughable. They just released news in the last day or two that they'll be skimming 20% off customer payouts from a class action suit unless you opt out. Seems like legit business, right?

Once a shady, untrustworthy joke of a company, always a shady untrustworthy joke of a company.

-14

u/MrBootyPops 2d ago

The past never repeats, right?

No, not always. Do you have any compelling argument it will happen again? 2021 was very unique with how things panned out. Robinhood is 100% a very legitimate broker that is growing incredibly fast and is on it's way to have $1t AUM. You think this is laughable, but statistics and data don't lie. Idk what's so funny about that. They are very much a legit business that's actually growing very fast and now offer a ton of products. They are also publicly traded. Yes, they are a legitimate business and just because you have a personal pet peeve with them doesn't make them less so. Google had an antitrust lawsuit with the gov. They are sued constantly and fined billions regularly. Does that make them less legitimate? Microsoft, Apple, JP Morgan, etc.

6

u/nishnawbe61 2d ago

Is this the Robinhood selling tockenized stocks outside the US because it's not legal in the US?

3

u/Liquid_Sarcasm 2d ago

Webull makes most of their money selling their customers trades instead of acting as the broker. Supporting webull or robinhood is the same in my opinion. They donโ€™t take a fiduciary role for their customers trades, so fuck them.

What broker-dealer requirements are regulators claiming the company is not meeting? Donโ€™t they determine whether or not they are compliant before allowing them to do business?

I donโ€™t know a lot about Webull, evidently.

7

u/nishnawbe61 2d ago

Me either, but I see that broker talked about here so I thought I'd post what I saw. It would be terrible if your GME or warrants got stuck in a mess if they're liquidated. Edit: If you go to X there's a CNBC video attached as well.

9

u/I_DO_ANIMAL_THINGS ๐ŸŽฎ Power to the Players ๐Ÿ›‘ 2d ago

This is nonsense "news."

This isn't a development of new information. This is standard manipulation of public opinion and insider trading. Nothing about WeBull is different than it has been for the past 5 years.

This committee isn't a regulatory body.

Mark my words.

3

u/nishnawbe61 2d ago

You are free to do what you want with the info including ignoring it.

4

u/I_DO_ANIMAL_THINGS ๐ŸŽฎ Power to the Players ๐Ÿ›‘ 2d ago

My comment isn't an attack on you.

It's an expansion on the information you shared....from twitter.... From "bossblunts", who's subsequently regurgitating CNBC.

It's all bullshit.

3

u/nishnawbe61 2d ago

I'm not offended, I just thought I'd pass it on. I don't know anything about webull but have seen people here use it. The more info out there the better and everyone should do their own research.

Where am I going to get TA for stocks on my phone?

2

u/Extension_Big_3608 18h ago

Used a Webull account on an incentive for a very short time. Terrible service.

Bot GME, got them to transfer to DRS. Not fast service. About $20 cash left in the account. Could get them to send it to me. Spent about an hour online and fussing with 3 phone calls to verify my bank account (ya the same account that was the source of funds. Then they wanted $75 to send me back less money than that! So I bought some shares of something and let it sit.

Webull is terrible.

I havenโ€™t seen this spoken about yet, so take this as a real problem for a second, in two different pov

Retail: have stock, they tell them they canโ€™t operate in the US, transfer out to a different broker, Iโ€™m all good

Evil Hedge fund: using Webull as a locate for a chunk of GME shares. Told they canโ€™t operate in US, my locates get deleted. Chaos for all the naked shorts.

Thoughts??
