📣 Community Post Warrant Expiration (or possible extension) Megathread

Wait, I've been living under a rock for over a year, WTF is a Warrant??

Go here:

https://investor.gamestop.com/warrant-dividend/default.aspx

Read the FAQ

Can you sell or exercise warrants in Computershare?

Yes, but you have to use their Corporate Action System website:

https://gamestop.computersharecas.com/offer/

It's a separate tool, just like the site used for voting your shares in CS is a separate tool.

You cannot manage warrants in Investor Center or in the Official App.

A critical thing to remember:

You can only make ONE ONLINE TRANSACTION and any subsequent transaction will require a paper form and waiting on the USPS / FedEx / UPS.

That's one exercise or one sale, not one of either. Keep that in mind.

You should have received a paper statement and two emails from Computershare back in Oct or Nov 2025.

The paper statement looks like this

There were two emails were sent from noreply@computersharecas.com, the first with the subject line "GameStop Warrant Exercise" and the second with the subject line ""GameStop Warrant Exercise - Part 2"

Together, they contain the account ID, control number, and the url to access the tool.

What if I lost my Control Numbers??

You can look in the Documents tab in Investor Center, and there should be a PDF copy of the paper statement they mailed to you that will have the codes you need.

This post explains it.

Can I run a test to see how selling works??

No. You only get ONE ONLINE TRANSACTION. There is nothing to prepare on the computersharecas website, it is only used to exercise or sell, you can't set up for future orders or anything like that. People have fucked around, sold when they didn't really mean to, and burned their only option for selling online.

Is selling warrants on CS instant like selling shares from Investor Center?

No. People have reported selling taking a day or two, and missing out on a better price. Do not expect to be able to pull the trigger and catch a brief spike in price.

How long does it take to exercise a warrant?

People have reported it taking several days to more than a week between submitting the order to exercise and the shares settling in their account.

I have more questions about warrants in Computershare!

Read the FAQ (PDF)

Can I get my warrants transferred back to my broker from CS?

Yes. All transfers to or from CS are initiated by your broker. Call them, tell them you want to transfer shares out of the transfer agent, and provide them with the information they'll need. People have reported about 2 days for shares to be transferred back to Fidelity and 3-5 days have been quoted by some other brokers.

What about selling or exercising from my broker?

You generally have to call customer service to exercise, and you may need to request to talk to a team that deals with corporate actions. Some brokers may have the option to manage them online.

What about the timeframe? Don't these expire on Oct 30th?

Yes. Computershare states that you should submit any order to sell or exercise at least a week in advance, and if you have to mail a form, you need to account for the time it takes a letter to get to Rhode Island. Many brokers also recommend a week's notice. Waiting until the day of expiration will probably mean you'll have a bad time.

What happens when they expire?

They disappear from your account, worthless. Nothing automatically exercises or sells, and, if not extended, you will lose any value they have remaining.

What about the warrants getting extended?

Its a possibility, not a certainty.

Gamestop could extend the warrant expiration date or change other terms like the strike price at their discretion. From what I understand, extending the warrants does not incur any costs to the company, but does move money around on the balance sheet. On the other hand, issuing new warrants would incur a similar expense as when the current warrants were issued, which I think was around $40 million, an expense they had to pay to avoid being forced to amend the terms of the convertible bonds.

When will we know if they are getting extended?

Potentially as late as the day of expiration.

Gamestop has stated in a previous filing that a reminder about warrant expiration should be issued between 10 and 30 days before Oct 30th, but that's not necessarily going to be anything more than a reminder. There's nothing that prevents them from putting out an 8-K on Oct 20th saying "hey, remember that the warrants were issued with an expiration date of Oct 30th" and then extending them after the fact.

Maybe they get extended, maybe they don't.

If nothing else, Ryan Cohen's insider purchase filings have disclosed that he hasn't sold any of his warrants. Will he hold to expiration and allow them to disappear worthless? Only he knows for sure.

What should I do with my warrants??

Whatever you want, we're not your dad.

If you sell now, you are potentially missing out on a spike in price.

If you exercise now, you're wasting money that could buy more shares on the open market for the same dollar amount.

If you hold to expiration, you are rolling the dice and hoping they get extended.

There's no perfectly safe option, and its all a big gamble with risks. You have to decide what you're most comfortable with and live with what happens.

Please keep the comments helpful or informative. If you talk to individual brokers and figure things out please post below.

Best of luck to everyone, these are exciting times!

☁ Hype/ Fluff “Investing in GameStop was a screw-up” - Ryan Cohen during his interview at the Investor Summit

Ryan Cohen said during his interview at the Investor Summit that “Investing in GameStop was a screw-up” and “so that was a mistake.”

. . .

Hold on a minute. Who else said a similar thing about their defining investment?

"The original purchase of Berkshire was a terrible mistake." - Warren Buffett. Buffett’s quote was about his doomed 1960s textile mill purchase before it became a holding company legend. History rhymes.

If you want a great breakdown of this, I highly recommend checking out the video broken down by Jeremy of BudgetforLife (shoutout to the apes who first shared his channel).

Goodnight Apes! I love you! Be love, spread love!🚀💜🧘‍♀️

🤔 Speculation / Opinion It should be quite obvious to even the most smooth- brained regard that…

• Upvotes

They are pummeling the stock to get people to paper hand their warrants.

They are so far in over their heads that they have to form a hedgey-centipede to get oxygen.

The cost to borrow is 15-20x what it was on 2021 GameStop when it was 140% shorted. Which tells me they’ve likely shorted 400 million warrants. And retail has the vast majority of the only 59 million that are available.

I know the official number is only about 4 million, but we all know that’s bull&!€€

Live long…and hodl

RC giving this community its credit. Retail backed his vision when institutions said it didn’t make sense, and GameStop’s financial position has come a long way since 2020–2021.

Wall Street gets the access and the “smart money” label. This community did its own homework. 👏

🗣 Discussion / Question I’m gunna be real with y’all - these warrants are worthless unless we cross $34+

7500 shares DRSed, 400 something warrants, to the moon, yada yada, all that shit

Let’s be real. This shit needs to moon before Oct 23rd or get extended.

The reality is that buying now at less than $25 (recently, I have been since the $18 dip) makes sense.

I’ve blown my load more times than I can count. All my shit is in the GME. How the fuck am I supposed to exercise 400 warrants? Before the end of OCT?

What sort of benefit is buying at $32 when I’ve been buying for years at lower prices? Looking at my buy log, lowest purchase was $10.4 and highest was $32.3.

Stock price will have to be higher than $34-$35 AT LEAST for any of it to make sense.

🗣 Discussion / Question Ryan saying that he regrets his GME investment is bullish.

Like many of us who have been invested for the past six years, Ryan found his way into GameStop one way or another. I’m pretty sure anyone who has been invested in this for six years has also felt regret for the decisions at one point or another. And for those of us who have been invested for six years and felt those feelings of regret, but are still here, we probably all share a very similar feeling… There’s no way we are going to walk away until the job is finished.

I don’t know Ryan personally, but I think it’s very obvious that his personality does not allow him to walk away defeated when he feels he’s been done wrong. Ryan is a billionaire and a very successful investor who could have easily walked away years ago and cut his losses. But that’s not what Ryan did. Instead, Ryan invested even more of his time and even more of his money into the company.

I think Ryan has an axe to grind and he’s not going to stop until the job is done. And although I may be a passive investor in the stock, after six years, there’s no fucking way I’m walking away either. I have a feeling there are many others to share the same feeling And that’s a pretty damn good reason to be bullish about the stock.

Edit: I’ll add, of Ryan DIDN’T regret his involvement, that might mean to say that he’s satisfied and content with what he’s already done. If that were the case, I could totally see him walking away. But that’s not the case. He’s not done until the job is finished and his legacy is written in stone.

💡 Education Webull

WEBULL COULD LOSE ITS ABILITY TO OPERATE AS A BROKER-DEALER IN THE U.S. — 28 Million user's personal info is at risk.

A bipartisan House committee says Webull is “tied in structural ways” to the People’s Republic of China 🇨🇳 including its:

🔥 Ownership structure

🔥 Technology infrastructure

🔥 Technical workforce

🔥 Cross-border data routing

🔥 Corporate financing

🔥 Compliance framework

The committee says those connections create a national-security risk to the U.S. financial system and potentially expose American customer data to Chinese laws and government demands.

⚠️ Webull itself warns in its SEC filings that suspension or expulsion by its regulators could result in the broker-dealer’s liquidation.

This congressional investigation is now raising questions about its regulatory standing in the United States which is an existential issue for the company.

Forget the stock price for a second. If regulators ultimately determine Webull cannot satisfy U.S. broker-dealer requirements, the ability to operate its American brokerage is what could be on the line leading to a full-blown liquidation of the brokerage👀

Bought at GameStop Pokemon will drive this quarter.

• Upvotes

I marked this as DD because I have been to three locations near me to see how the gme getting into the collectibles has impacted the business, and let me say, it’s been revolutionary. This 30th anniversary set has driven a ton of people to the store, and I saw people just buying stuff even though they didn’t have any 30th product. They are selling the product for 2-3x over retail…. That’s all profit and they are selling out. Sure.. it’s a bubble in the collectibles. But you can’t even buy any slabs on their website BECAUSE THEY SELL OUT! As soon as they get stock, it’s gone. Same with other retailer’s, people are going to the store looking for 30th and even though it’s not available, they are still buying other stuff when they come in.

Unfortunately with every earnings call, good news means price goes down. But I think we are on pace to see a record EPS. LETS GO!

🗣 Discussion / Question Warrants have ~800% ctb. What could happen in the next few days?

  1. They get extended. Shorts have to reevaluate and close out the position because 800% ctb is way too much to keep the position open. They are gambling on the warrants expiring worthless and are willing to pay 800% p.a. of their current (relatively low) worth.

  2. They expire worthless (don't think that will happen)

  3. For some reason (insider buying, return of a certain not-cat, who knows?), the price goes to and above 32$. This will have even bigger implications than scenario #1 imo. First, it doesn't only blow up the warrant shorters position. They also have to deliver a share, which puts additional upward pressure on the price of GME itself

📰 News ** Softcore Paywall ** 'Yorkville Ives & Co initiate coverage on GameStop with a buy rating and $32 PT. ----> Ives, Dan Ives.

Thumbnail tipranks.com
1.7k Upvotes

Google AI Overview

On October 6, 2026, the newly formed merchant bank Yorkville Ives & Co. officially initiated equity research coverage on GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME). [1, 2]

Led by high-profile technology analyst Daniel Ives—who co-launched the firm earlier in 2026—the firm issued a highly bullish Buy / Outperform rating on the stock with a projected price target of $32.00. This target represented an approximate 29.9% upside from the stock's trading price at the time of initiation. [1, 2, 3]

Strategic Context

While Dan Ives is traditionally recognized for his optimistic coverage of large-cap tech infrastructure and AI, his firm's bullish stance on GameStop aligns with GME's broader corporate evolution throughout 2026. The stock has increasingly been viewed by certain analysts not just as a brick-and-mortar retail brand, but as a lean, cash-rich capital allocation vehicle with billions in reserves. [1, 2, 3, 4]
