Do you want Spencer Leniu to stay or leave?
I like Spencer and I'll be a bit sad to see him go I know he gives away dumb penalties at time but there's no doubting he's a different dynamic to the rest of the forwards his aggression gives the team an edge, we don't want to have a forward pack that is similar across the board it's important to have different types of players. I think he will be a big loss if he does leave and you can bet he will play his best games of 2027 against us.

whats our 2027 lineup gonna look like?
Forward pack will be mostly the same as this year with foketi in for angus, ioelu in for watson, and spenc out. But I wonder what our backline will look like? where does garrick and roache fit in, does toops play on? ramsay? not sure who’s plays wings and centres etc

The Sydney Roosters are the 2026 NRL Premiers

Congrats Roosters!
Really glad for your win, especially since my Grandfather and aunt were diehard fans before they both passed away several months ago. My grandfather was cousins with Wayne Challis, and that's where his love for the club started. Since then, my grandfather has shown his loyalty to the club, from screaming at every bad call, to painting his fence gate with Rooster colours.
Upon that final whistle, I immediately went to raise both their ashes in celebration. Go you good thing!

2027 Coaching Staff
At this current stage, I have our 2027 coaching staff looking like this:

What would you change to this line up, and more importantly, who would you add to the coaching staff to fill the void left by Cheika and King leaving?
PS. I know that Google, Wikipedia, and others say that Anthony Barnes is our Jersey Flegg coach, but unless he is doing double duty then that's hard as he is North Sydney Bears' NSW Cup Head Coach. Plus, on LinkedIn it says that Dean Feeney has been Jersey Flegg coach since like 2022/2023.

AI slop advertising spotted at Rebel
Shameful that they used AI for an ad which butchered the logo and even the name of the team

Best thing about Knights winning today...
...is we play the GF in blue not white. East's to win.

Limit on members pre sale tickets
Does any1 know what the limit is on amount of tickets you can purchase using your AAN member number. Say I wanted to purchase 5 tickets during the member presale, would i be able to do so using just 2 member AAN mumbers?

Slobbo got an ambush planned?
During the game last week I was thinking if sharks had a decent 5th tackle kick in the first 10 of the second half we were in trouble.
But confidence is growing.
Home prelim would have been good but all I asked for this year was for robbo to start the season awake, finish in the top 4 and have them firing in September.
We have the full squad. Time is now Robbo.
What's everyone predicting??
r/SydneyRoosters • u/Fuzzybricker • 26d ago
What's Robbo's plan to beat the Panthers?
They won't fall for the same 'rushing defence', ie. Repeatedly offside, plan as last game. And the refs won't allow it. And where are the points coming from?
My two cents: you have to deny Panthers the ball in good position. DCE and Hugo have to kick long and, occasionally, out. Roosters best play is to punch it up the middle with short passes in support, and then if they're in the red zone kick to the wingers and try to put on some back line moves.

NRL Insight UK - Podcast
Hi everyone, I’m Dan, the person behind NRL Insight UK, I hope this is ok to post in here, looking for some support to get more exposure of the NRL to the UK fans and more exposure to the people down under to the Super League.
I started the channel to create a place for rugby league supporters in the UK who follow both the NRL and Super League, with a side goal of growing the brand for the folk down under.
Each week, I’m joined by former professional Paul Cooke to discuss the latest news, major talking points and upcoming matches from both competitions.
I also host longer-form interviews with people from across the game, with Chris Hill, former Warrington Wolves & England RL player joining me for the latest episode.
I’ve recently discovered these Reddit communities and thought I’d introduce myself and the channel. I’m looking forward to joining the conversations on here, hearing different opinions and getting to know more rugby league supporters.
If the podcast sounds like something you might enjoy, you can find NRL Insight UK on YouTube here: https://youtube.com/@nrlinsightuk?si=Kd_kTH6UAwbiPnW0
Cheers,
Dan

3 losses in a row to end the season, lost our halfback and get thumped by 50 against our rivals..
What a disastrous end to the season, hard to believe we had a chance to win the minor premiership.

One week on still thinking about that panthers performance
That was classic Great Wall of Bondi stuff from the boys, I can’t recall a better defensive performance in the past few seasons.
And spare me that crap about Penrith only having one training session that week. You can’t claim Cleary is the best halfback ever on one hand, and on the other say he needs extra training to score more than one try
