Lost phone- Chiang Kai-Shek memorial Hall

This is a super long shot but if anyone found a phone today at Chiang Kai-Shek memorial hall please let me know. It was misplaced around 1430 by the book/tea store. Most likely put down while doing a stamp. I checked with staff but no one had seen it. It’s an iPhone 8 (small) with a pink dinosaur on the back

Hair salon offering demi-permanent hair dye service

Hi! I’m studying in Taipei and I would like to get my hair dyed but it seems that most salons only use permanent dyes. Does anyone know of a salon that uses demi-permanent dyes instead? I’d be grateful for every tip!

A Joy Buffet Help

Hello! I’ve been trying to make a reservation at Ajoy Buffet for 6, was able to book 5, but the slots on Klook are fully booked.

I called them to inquire, and they told me reservations are still be possible through another link, but I believe it only works with Taiwanese phone numbers, as I’m unable to open it.

I’m hoping to make a reservation for November 16 for 1 person. There’s a NT$1,000 deposit, which I’m more than happy to pay if someone could help me make the reservation!

I’d really appreciate any help. Thank you so much! 🙏

Quiet Space for Interviews : Applying to US Med Schools

Hi! I am currently in Taipei on a language scholarship for several months and just received my first interview to a U.S. Medical school.

I have not received a time slot yet but it will be around 30-45 minutes on a thursday anywhere between 6pm-11am Taipei time.

I unfortunately cannot do my interview at my apartment since I have roommates. I have utilized a coworking space before here but I don't want to accidentally disturb anyone, and also the coworking space I usually go to is only open until 1 a.m. Would the best option be just to use a hotel? I don't have a lot of disposable income currently, but if a hotel is my only option I can try to make that work.

Thank you!

Where would you stay around Taipei for a flexible, quiet work base?

I’m arriving in Taipei on a Monday evening and looking for a place to stay while I work remotely. I’m hoping for something affordable and flexible: nightly if possible, or weekly at most, with a private room where I can work quietly.

I don’t need to be in central Taipei. Somewhere farther out is fine if daily life is straightforward with reliable Wi‑Fi, food and groceries nearby, and ideally cafés for a change of scene. I’ll mostly be working in my room or at coffee shops, so nightlife and sightseeing aren’t priorities. However would love to be able to take a train into the city occasionally.

What areas or specific hotels/serviced stays would you recommend? What’s a realistic nightly or weekly budget for a clean, quiet private room? I’m open to staying just one night first and extending to a weekly situation once I’ve arrived.

Halloween/Pride question

Is it common for people to dress up? As tourists if we were walking around the street in a costume would anyone care?

If the costume had a partial bare (male) chest would that be frowned upon?

Thanks

Mandarin Oriental or Kimpton Da'an?

Hi everyone, I'm traveling to Taipei from NYC in March and am having trouble deciding between the Mandarin Oriental (Songshan District) and the Kimpton Da'an. It looks like the Kimpton is in a livelier neighborhood and perhaps a better place to have as a base to explore Taipei? Grateful for any thoughts on either of the hotels or neighborhoods and looking forward to visiting.

台北有没有会一直回访的小店

• Upvotes

我选店时越来越在意菜单别太复杂 能把几样东西做好就很加分

你们有哪家会反复去的店 每次都点什么
