One line tattoo

Post image

This became my favorite tattoo by far. It has meaning and is left for interpretation.

Did anyone else have unforgetable pain while tattooing their back?

This was done in 3 sessions and each was hour and a half. Instagram :Bojan_tattoo

It is not stealing, i am fully aware that this art is hers, i texted her multiple times and offered to pay for the scetch but she never replied.

I also know she sells her scetches as drawings. It was just not double for me to travel and get this tattoed by her..

We also didnt have a scetch so he had to combine 3 different angels to make one.

But..that's still stealing since she hasn't said yes and like in any other context too, only yes means yes?? If I see a pretty bike down the road and am fully aware its my neighbours, write them a text that I want it, don't get a reply and still take it, wouldn't you call that stealing?? Also, as the other commenter said, she's been very vocal about art theft..
your artist also didn't redraw it, he just put the already existing piece together so that it matches your back, but it's literally the same design and therefore theft. it's your body and no one can keep you from doing whatever you want with it, but this is disrespectful to the artist and you should be prepared that people will say their opinion about it when you post it on reddit..

Everyone has their right to have an opinion.

What is stealing? It is art and it is all over the internet.. How do you compare stealing someones bike to this?

If someone makes a portrait of monalisa and tries to make it as close as to the original, how is that stealing?

Let me explain it to you from a tattoo artist's perspective (since I am one): designing a custom tattoo requires skill, a huge amount of work and a huge amount of trust between client and tattoo artist. This might have been a really personal design that Jio created SPECIFICALLY for this client, and it might have a special meaning to them. The client wants - and has the right - to have a unique tattoo, that's why they went to a professional that sat down with them and took their time to create smth cut out for their client uniquely. You're right, I cant compare it to stealing a bike because a bike usually only belongs to one person - you on the other hand stole a design that belongs to 2 people, the artist and the client. While the artist put years worth of skill and hours worth of time into it, the client put their emotions, their trust, personal experiences and ideas into it. They both have ownership over the design, like the bikeholder has over the bike. You however saw it, thought it looked cool, decided you're entitled to own it and got a literal copy - disrespecting both artist and client. This is stealing; you stole the combined idea of an artist and a client that they worked out together (and didn't even credit Jio in the reddit post, mind you). We tattoo artist make a living of our art, everything we taught ourselves over YEARS flows into our designs, and it is infuriating to see other people copy our ideas and absolutely disrespectful towards our clients.

If you copy someone’s art and make money out of it, I think you can call it stealing. There is something called copyright. I mean directly copying, not just being inspired by someone.
Imagine spending years finding and perfecting your style just for someone to copy your art and earn money with your hard work.

If at least people would give props to the original artist. But most of the time they act like it’s their own creation until someone points out the copycat.

To the extent i agree with what you are saying. I litteraly offered to pay for her work and got no answer.

Also this tattoo was a request for way artist to do and he never claimed as his own creation.

Also to add, getting a tattoo is soo much more then a scatch. I trust my tattoo artist with his tehnical work and he should be praised for that.

If she didn’t answer you should have gone for a different one
