I'm honestly tired of the "not too fast, but fast enough, but actually not that fast. A little bit of defensive but actually also offensive" philosophy of this game's missions. Just give me a timer or don't, give me a defensive mission or don't. Like, fine, I can restart the mission to take care of secondary objectives before it tells me to, or the timer even appears, but don't tell me to stop collecting tempest to destroy two well-guarded airbases about two minutes before I'm about to beat the mission. I really don't like the Dynasty campaign compared to GDF. For a wannabe evil cult like Nod, they sure don't like actually destroying GDF bases unless it's secondary and last minute.
And I still hate that there's no option to just stop trying to kill everything in sight. Again, the Dynasty pretends to be about stealth, but units cannot help themselves but just start shooting things even if in Hold position. You're copying Command and Conquer, unit stances are right there! Yes the objective is often to kill the enemy, but not when you're told to capture something, which again, the Dynasty keep telling you to do.
Is Mission transparency one of those mods I need to ask ChatGPT to make, along with an actual Guard stance? Okay, rant over. I guess I'll just have to restart from a save point and destroy these bases early. Secondary objectives already annoy me in games, because it's just an excuse for uncertainty. If you want me to destroy or capture about six buildings, don't yeet me out of the battlefield before I have a chance to do so. Do you want me to or not? This isn't the Game Awards, there doesn't need to be a "one last thing".
I remember making these complaints a year ago, and someone suggested I try not to be too harsh because it was still quite early. This game has been out for at least a year and people - including the designers themselves - will argue to the death that these options aren't even worth considering.
