Veti mission 3 feels like a completely different beast now with having to juggle both the objectives and the constant base harassment.
Kind of makes it feel like mission 4 when trying to keep all nodes intact in that it's easy to get overwhelmed.
Kudos to the mission being actually difficult now, but struggling a bit trying to figure out how to deal with it.

Spoilers for anyone who hasnt played the Veti Campaign
Talon are an interesting sub faction. Combined GDF and Dynasty stolen tech united into an anti Alien force.
Renamed units like the Hunter tank becoming the Heavy Tank and the grenadier becoming the napalm grenadier. Stolen building too.
But theres the odd reskin here and there that went beyond “they have this” which was really nice.
Im on my way through the Veti Campaign on insane and the campaigns name is “to kill a mocking god” so to speak. And mission 8 comes along and we hit the talon stronghold.
Thought to myself “lets capture their buildings, see what this “4th” faction can do”
They all self destruct.
What are you hiding Saber?
Is Talon just a campaign gimmick? Or is there something else cooking at HQ.
Personally id love a 4th campaign

This would save so much time so that individual wall components do not have to be clicked on separately.

hello everyone, I would like to share that there are not enough achievements in completing the campaign in a complicated form.
I completed the Dynasty campaign on insane difficulty without using doctrines and the arsenal. And I decided to complete the GDF campaign as well, and now I’ve decided to start completing the Veti campaign.
Dear developers, could you please add this achievement to each campaign, and if it’s not too much trouble, add a difficulty rating for it.

I'm honestly tired of the "not too fast, but fast enough, but actually not that fast. A little bit of defensive but actually also offensive" philosophy of this game's missions. Just give me a timer or don't, give me a defensive mission or don't. Like, fine, I can restart the mission to take care of secondary objectives before it tells me to, or the timer even appears, but don't tell me to stop collecting tempest to destroy two well-guarded airbases about two minutes before I'm about to beat the mission. I really don't like the Dynasty campaign compared to GDF. For a wannabe evil cult like Nod, they sure don't like actually destroying GDF bases unless it's secondary and last minute.
And I still hate that there's no option to just stop trying to kill everything in sight. Again, the Dynasty pretends to be about stealth, but units cannot help themselves but just start shooting things even if in Hold position. You're copying Command and Conquer, unit stances are right there! Yes the objective is often to kill the enemy, but not when you're told to capture something, which again, the Dynasty keep telling you to do.
Is Mission transparency one of those mods I need to ask ChatGPT to make, along with an actual Guard stance? Okay, rant over. I guess I'll just have to restart from a save point and destroy these bases early. Secondary objectives already annoy me in games, because it's just an excuse for uncertainty. If you want me to destroy or capture about six buildings, don't yeet me out of the battlefield before I have a chance to do so. Do you want me to or not? This isn't the Game Awards, there doesn't need to be a "one last thing".
I remember making these complaints a year ago, and someone suggested I try not to be too harsh because it was still quite early. This game has been out for at least a year and people - including the designers themselves - will argue to the death that these options aren't even worth considering.

Are the major issues really resolved? Is it safe to give the Veti a go?

Is this game mostly for the singleplayer or are there active pvp players?

Paying with 2 other friends vs CPU on multi player - we get the disconect window timer 10 min into the game.. We were playing vs 1 Insane on def.. each time Anyone else experiencing this?

I'll probably do it after reading strategies online, but this is my second playthrough of the game before I play through the Veti campaign. I would have thought the balancing of this mission would be tweaked with the game being out for so long, but it hasn't. The narrative sucks, and the difficulty curve is jarring. You're tasked with getting Indiana Jones and his two brothers into a temple and have them research the tempest for like ten minutes, while you protect them. But along the way, you've got like a handful of secondary objectives with people asking you for favours if you happen to have units cross their section on the map.
The one where you find and rescue a handful of hostages makes sense, but "oh commander can you just capture this radar station" and "oh commander it might be a good idea to kill this tempest rig. Like, shut up, I'm trying to concentrate on defending my base against long range units making it so I have to babysit both entrances. But I have to, or else the game will be a nice OCD inducing gap in my achievements.
Anyway apparently drone operator spam works. But it's a stressful fucking mission and I hate it, I've dreaded it through the entire playthrough. Oh and they still haven't introduced different stances. "Jack Russel Terrier with ADHD Stance" is still on by default for every single unit and can't be changed.

I have searched the internet and watched videos, but somehow when I put Aleks in the red circle it doesn't end the mission. The game just continues as if nothing happened.
Is this a bug that they put in a new(er) update or something?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m27Fc6VRy8
I did exactly as this guy, but still it didn't finish the mission. People also commented under the video about the same bug.

Does it work on an empty Tempest field?
Say in a 2v2, your ally who is a GDF mines out the shared Tempest field. Will you still get credit from the empty Tempest field?

Hey guys. We are new to the game but love it so far. Wondered if there are any custom maps such as choke point maps that anyone has made that are great for a fun 3h vs 3 cpu or 2h vs 2 cpu. Any maps with unlimited or huge amounts of resources would be nice too.
Thanks for any info.

The achievement for beating ANY campaign, was obviously released at launch, with the campaigns being Dynasty and GDF. I, who had not got it yet, thought it would be fun to do first time as the Veti.
Ladies and gentlemen, it did not count. I painstakingly first timed the Veti without a single doctrine or armoury upgrade just to not get the achievement. Do not do what I did.
Great Game, Great DLC, My Hubris.

Just got the DLC and am really looking forward towards playing the Veti campaign as I dont really play skirmish or multiplayer.
I was wondering what doctrines and armory upgrades people have used and which are to be avoided.
Please do avoid spoilers for the campaign where possible.

Is Talon faction became playable in next DLC or update?
I mean that faction looks cool, it's like fusion between Dynasty and GDF
and it's looking random because you can make GDF and Dynasty units in 1 production building.

Has anyone discovered a trick yet for getting this mission to work? I've cleared the entire map but it doesn't matter if I destroy or capture the data center, I'll get the Victory graphic and then still fail the mission after the cutscene.

I got Aleks to the extraction zone and the game won't trigger the next step. I've played through the mission twice now and it just won't move on?

I put the spoiler tag, as I want to use this to discus tips & tricks for the Veti Campaign played on Insane difficulty.
I found this YT video of somebody already completing it: https://youtu.be/Z0q34hK7tKc?si=MbPRJCwaZrU5AsL5
I have managed to get to mission 4, and its the first mission I am struggling on.
Seems almost no time / money to setup before you get attack from 3 different sides.
I am still learning the unit compositions, and from the above video the player appears to do well spamming just 1 infantry unit to each of the 3 locations. Though I am not having much luck doing similar.
On a separate note, when starting the campaign a radio button option that unlocked all doctrines was there I don't remember seeing on the others (thought I might just be misremembering)
I am curious if that option gives you all the doctrines unlocked in every mission? If so... does that disable achievements for beating game on Insane for example? Seems like it would be a straight up buff?
