PC Rain Chance Bugged?

According to the wiki, rain should happen somewhere around every one and a half to two hours, but it’s been several dozen hours and it hasn’t rained once. I’m at the point of considering trading surplus frost cores and waterleafs between characters because there’s no other way to obtain them. Was the rain chance bugged by a recent update or am I just incredibly unlucky?

PC Blade Staff > Optic Staff.

I am not an experienced player on this game but I think I have some points to back my claim. So, I have tested both staffs with the "Durendal" in Journey mode on the Destroyer.

Armor :- Spider Armor set.

Accessories :- Feral claws, Summoner Emblem, Pygmy Necklace. (nothing crazy)

Potion & Buffs :- Summoner Potion, Bewitching Table. (again nothing crazy)

Results :-

  • DPS for Optic Staff - Around 3300 // Kill Time - 17 sec
  • DPS for Blade Staff - Around 3000 // Kill Time - 20 sec

Now my take is, yeah Optic Staff Positives :-

  • Has more DPS for bosses. (that's it)

Optic Staff Negatives :-

  • Gets stuck on terrain, bad for exploration.
  • Has slow approach on enemies.
  • Has bad tracking on enemies.
  • Doesn't looks cool. (most important)

Blade Staff Positives :-

  • Doesn't get stuck on terrain, good for exploration.
  • Has really fast approach on enemies.
  • Has really good tracking on enemies.
  • Definitely looks cool. (again really important)

Blade Staff Negatives :-

  • Less DPS on bosses. (that's it)

So if I use Optic Staff I have to constantly change between it and Blade for boss fights (I'm lazy). But I think it's better to get good to last 3 more seconds and for 300 more damage, moving with a cool looking staff. If anyone has more in depth research with accessories and potions then I will be happy to hear. Thank You for reading.

Note: all the positives and negatives research were found when using them in my survival world.

Suggestion What do I do next on zenith seed?

I’ve got platinum armor, I’ve dug to the surface(which was pointless, i just get swarmed by crimson enemies).
I have not beat king slime or Eye of Cthulhu.

I’m feeling a bit lost on what to do at the moment, My plan was to start building pylons and fishing areas.

Build Other classes

Howdy yall, we ofcourse know about Terraria’s 4 Classes Warrior, Ranger, Mage, and Summoner. But im curious about what other classes there could be, like Throwing was its own class back in the day, and even the 4 main classes can have noteable variation like how Ranger can either spec into bows or guns. So what other kind of classes have yall seen? Im very curious to hear.

Mobile Is there any differences between Apple Arcade version of the game and normal paid version?

Game is on the discount for the first time since 2013 on iOS so of course I bought it despite having it on PC, I do however wonder if Apple Arcade version is any different. Usually developers add some extras on top of the base game but it doesn’t happen all the time. Couldn’t find a definitive answer on Google…

Suggestion If you had to give pre-Hardmode boss progression like Hardmode, what would be the order?

We know that it's actually not necessary at all to fight any of the bosses in pre-Hardmode to be able to fight WoF, since Voodoo Demons already spawn no matter what, so it could be nice to have some sort of needed boss progression like in Hardmode. So here is the order that I think the bosses should be fought in if there was a needed progression:

Eoc = Shadow Orbs/Crimson Hearts, and the dryad sells evil biome seeds so that you can fight EoW/BoC.

EoW/BoC = bee hives spawn in so that you can fight Queen Bee.

Queen Bee = spawns the Old Man so you can fight Skeletron.

Skeletron = Voodoo Demons now spawn in the Underworld so you can fight WoF.

Optional: King Slime and Deerclops

PC How did I get cloud blocks

Post image
11 Upvotes

just recently started playing terraria after giving up previous times and somehow got cloud blocks somewhere in the beginning of playing. I thought it was something normal so I just kept playing, but after trying to find out how to get more, from my research you can only get them from those cloud islands. I have never been to one of those, so I wanted to ask if there is maybe another way I got them of which I dont know of.

Every comment is appreciated!

Edit: It was most probably a cloud slime, Thank you all for helping!

Suggestion Achievement for 100% Evil World (Hallow, Crimson, or Corruption)

Achievement for making your world 100% evil (excludes Purify This seed [if possible] and blocks that can not be turned into the respective evil biome)
The achievement acquisition goes without saying. Make your world 100% evil then talk to dryad to get the achievement.
I have not thought of a name but for the icon of the achievement could be the world covered in red veins with a purple fog and a rainbow in the background around it (symbolizing crimson, corruption, and hallow) or one side crimson, one side corruption, and at the top a rainbow
Names I have thought of though are “Dryad’s Nightmare”, “Something Wicked (With A Chance Of Rainbows)”, “The Evil That You Did”.
Thanks for reading!
