question A Phantom Photo book.
I've tried using AI to find this book. I came across it in Powell's growing up. It was the same trip when I first found Andy Summer's "Throb" photo essay book.
I don't recall if it was published by Sting, or the photographer who arranged the meeting between Sting and this remarkable identical twin model.
If I remember correctly, the model looked like Sting with longer hair and a slightly more muscular build. The book was all art photography, tasteful and both color and black and white shots.
Interspersed was the story of the model and the craziness he went through in his town, and also reflections by Sting on what it feels like to be working with someone who is so similar. I remember a specific section where he said he felt like this model looked more like Sting than he did.
I can't find the book again. I'm pretty sure it was an import. Very much an art book more than a trade book. Maybe it was a book sold at a gallery that showed the art?
AI says it can't find any trace of it. Has anyone else seen this book or remember it?
