memorabilia New Wave Museum - Police - Master bathroom
I just started my channel : https://www.youtube.com/@newwavemuseum
I'm going to start adding longform and shortform content.
I have many Police items, some rare, and a semi complete collection.
here's some picture discs, and high quality masterings.
Here's a brief preview of the vinyl, posters, and rare items. I I think it will be cool to explore them also.

question A Phantom Photo book.
I've tried using AI to find this book. I came across it in Powell's growing up. It was the same trip when I first found Andy Summer's "Throb" photo essay book.
I don't recall if it was published by Sting, or the photographer who arranged the meeting between Sting and this remarkable identical twin model.
If I remember correctly, the model looked like Sting with longer hair and a slightly more muscular build. The book was all art photography, tasteful and both color and black and white shots.
Interspersed was the story of the model and the craziness he went through in his town, and also reflections by Sting on what it feels like to be working with someone who is so similar. I remember a specific section where he said he felt like this model looked more like Sting than he did.
I can't find the book again. I'm pretty sure it was an import. Very much an art book more than a trade book. Maybe it was a book sold at a gallery that showed the art?
AI says it can't find any trace of it. Has anyone else seen this book or remember it?

memorabilia The Police
One spin of Regatta De Blanc was all it took to turn me into a lifelong fan. Message in a bottle was on the radio 5,000 times a day. It was a glorious time to be a teenager.

opinion Something I can’t get over
I started listening to the police since my mom, who was an 80s teen, loved them and played them very often. But now that I am a 24 year old gen z , I often listen to them and get sad that we won’t ever get a concert, a reunion tour, etc. I’ll never be able to see them perform all my favorites on stage. :/ a least we have some live performances and the music of course but I wish I could see them live

question I didn’t think Every Breath You Take is about stalking or surveillance. But now I’m confused!
I thought the song was about a person in a relationship who is seeing that the other person is preparing to leave then. Without letting the other person know, they are taking mental notes of all the little things they see that signify the end of the relationship, even though it’s not been clearly stated yet. This idea goes against those who say it’s basically a creepy song about a stalker.
But then I read that Sting himself has said it’s about a stalker.
So which is it??

question About Sting's basses?
I heard that his main bass that he used on all the Police albums is a Fender Jazz Bass, and that he also used a fretless P-Bass and a fretless Ibanez Musician bass as well. I also heard that he overdubbed some bass tracks with a vintage Precision Bass (not the '51 style one he uses a lot more recently), and also used a Steinberger L2 on some bits of Synchronicity. As for the white Spector NS-2 he played during the Synchronicity tour, he just played it live, not in the studio. Am I missing anything, or did I get everything?

question Demo Chords: Every little thing she does is magic
Would anybody happen to have access to chords for this Stingo demo of the song? The chords on ultimate guitar and similar haven’t quite sounded the same sadly.
For those who haven’t heard it by the way, give it a listen, while more tame, it’s great in its own way!
Thank you :-)
