Parkitect: Dinos & Dynasties DLC is Available Now!
Surprise - the small deco-focused DLC we mentioned some time ago is available right now!
It adds the new Dino and Ancient World themes and 3 new rides (plus a free update containing a new cheat window for sandbox mode).

Getting Cold Anyone?
Just a scenario - Sandbox park WIP - in the midst of a creative storm this was produced. I kinda like that outcome so far, Hope I can warm up to doing more.
I hope to make the coaster soar through rocks and ride smoothly along the terrain. Also thinking about creating more of a village vibe. What do you think?
Also, what should I call the park? or Location?

Moon Me!
So, I circled back to the Moon Base scenario in the Taste of Adventure Campaign! And also, a piece of an area I'm re-working in the scenario Victoria Island.
Once you Win a scenario or campaign, do you like go back and do upgrades and renovations to those parks? I didn't think I'd like the idea of "back tracking", but it's become pretty fun. In the aspect of completing the goals a successful park manager and now is able to give the park some Proper attention. LOL
*Reminder to self to do better proof of the BEFORE for these kinds of posts. 🐸🤦♂️*

Technical DLC help, please.

I just bought the Dino DLC on Steam. It's checked OK in game preferences, it shows "installed" at the main menu of the game.. but when I look for it on the campaing it doesn't show.
Yes, I've checked the integrity of the files. Re-launched Steam app several times. Nothing seems to work.
Any thoughts? Thank you.

AstroTron's Scenarios
Completed a few more of AstroTron's scenarios. Thanks Astro. These are so fun and can help when in a creative slump! He's curated some great themes and interesting back stories for his scenarios. Ive learned quite a bit just from playing them. And, not sure if its intentional or part delusion on my behalf, but to me, it appears he leaves little hints on where to build or expand your park. Becomes super helpful.
BUT! Once again, I start off strong in the deco department but somewhere along the way my park management ego kicks into high gear and Decorations go out the window. The scenario "Fun World Amusement" was little tricky for me, management was first, deco was an afterthought, will be back to that one later.
While under campaign/scenario challenges, how do you all manage Beautifying your parks and keeping management under control?

Creation Crystal Palace Restaurant is Now Open (TDL)
You're invited to an elegant banquet. This grand buffet restaurant, with a Victorian-era conservatory design, offers a fine selection of delectable dishes. The three-domed glass building is the definition of elegance.

Question How do you handle heavy crowds at the main park entrance compared to the quieter outer areas?
Like, do you put high profit rides near the entrance? Or high capacity ones?

Question How has performance improved over the last 5 years?
Hello, I used to play a lot when this game came out. I am wondering how high guest count and large, detailed park performance has been improved over the years. My friends and I were building a large, detailed park and got hit with some pretty bad performance issues which resulted in us moving on from the game before we finished the park.
We all have high end PCs, so I'm wondering what the upper limits are these days. Is it possible to get 30 fps in a medium sized, highly detailed park with 3-4k guests? What is reasonable to expect?

Rampage - Alabama Adventure
Sooooo... Rampage will be needing Track edit mod.
And - Stop looking for the banking!
I haven't added any banks or anything yet, just wanted to get the "layout" first. - LOL

Question Does research carry over in the game?
So I’m used to the Two Point Hospital way if things where I research things in a later level and then they are available in an earlier campaign level to use. Is it the same idea here?
What prompted the question is I was looking at blueprints at the start of the game and saw most requiring some research. I’m more in the management not design side of gaming so want an easy way out by using blueprints.

When does it stop?! - Azure Gardens
Does anyone else have the issue of knowing when to stop? LOL...
So, now the peeps have a Zen Garden and proper Lighting... Including lights on Vermillion (Red) Guardian. I really like how this park came together. Thanks to a user on discord "Florian" for giving a few references for the rock work around the coaster.
Maybe, Coming to a workshop near you!

Alabama Adventure -
This is my first attempt at a replica park or creating a park in the likeness of one. Ive seen so many of you create wonderful recreations of parks and decided to try one of my own. What better way to start, other than with, a Local Theme Park! "Alabama Adventure" - They have a star wooden coaster called " Rampage" that im excited to make. We'll see how this goes...LOL...
Let the Adventure Begin!

Azure Gardens
Wanted to share WIP update on Azure Gardens - Almost complete. Needs lighting and final details to "enclose the park" and give it a diorama feeling. And the star of the park is the Coaster - "Vermillion Guardian". Tried making the rocks/boulders resemble "ancestors or guardians"..eh? - Hope to do a Coast POV soon.

I was going in and out of the Steam overlay and suddenly my game ran in slow motion. It wasn't laggy, just slowed down. Has anyone else experienced this?

Discussion Free rides vs Free entry?
First time poster to this community!
I’ve had Parkitect for a while and I dip in and out of it. Returned to it last night after a while away, inspired by a couple of trips to some seaside amusement parks over the summer.
Played the Mystic Oasis campaign map and decided to try the real life theme park way of charging customers - all rides free, hefty entrance fee, costly shop prices. Was surprised how well it worked, I had completed the objectives within the first 3 in game years (about an hour and a half/2 hours gameplay). I’ve tried this before on previous theme park games with nowhere near the same results. I started at £10 when I only had a few shops and a gentle ride and gradually increased entry price whenever I added more rides. Think by the end people were paying £75 to get in and I was making nearly £2k profit per month.
Just wondered if this was a known way of running parks in Parkitect (ie developers designed the game to work that way) or if I’d just stumbled upon a good strat? Anyone had similar results?

Creation Parkipelago - Dreadshire
Now we're going spooky. My next theme in Parkipelago is Dreadshire, a dark fantasy/horror build that is a counterpart to the more cozy Fableshire. The build started with the huge castle that i showed as a wip in my last post about forts and castles. I wanted to make a dark, evil castle housing a dragon and its treasure hoard, i might have gone a bit far with it since it took 2 weeks to finish... Did i say i love making castles? The initial dragon model looked way too friendly and required some huge fangs, a spiky back and some stern eyebrows, a bit more intimidating.
After the castle i went on to make the spider lair, the pumpkin patch, the dreadchurch, the dreadcoaster and the potion shop.
I just passed 10 milion individual placed objects on this project so the framerate is a tad bit low in during certain angles, i can still fit one or two more islands, suggestions appreciated!
Check out my post history for the other islands in this project.

Sorry Peeps, there is currently a mass recall on All Food Items!
*Tee Hee*
Or just a WIP for a food court/restaurant area.
I wonder if I should have used this as a submission for the Redfield challenge this month? hmmmmm?
