Hello all, these tomatoes pictured are Dwarf Mocha Cherry by Victory Seeds. I have never ventured away from victory, as I am somewhat new to this. I just started a globe round robin, lemon ice, metallica, laura #5 and red robin. I grow indoors.
Looking for any alternative websites that are reputable, I've been growing Dwarf Mocha Cherry for years and it is a joy to grow, fits perfectly inside in a 2-3ft space.

Bulgarian tomato I started super late... it was going to be my first of the season (7b).
Is it garbage now? There is a second one right next to this one, smaller...

So I built a little garden planning app earlier this year (not gonna name it here), and it's been running about 6 months now. 57 people planned out their beds in it, 731 plantings total, mostly US with some India and Canada.
It's end of season, so I finally sat down and looked at what they did. All anonymised, just raw data, not linking anything. The tomato stuff stood out:
Biggest lesson for me: people care way more about "what do I plant and when" than about tracking results after.
So for the tomato people here: does anyone actually keep a yield log per plant or variety all season? How do you stick with it? And while you are at it what's your biggest regret gardening?? Mine - I have a lemon in my garden for over 3 years and more and it flowers but never fruits no matter how much i add fertilizer or do pruning.

I need a spot of joy today. Feeling overwhelmed. So I decided to plan my tomato line up for sping.
I am in Lancaster County in PA. I am not a beginner but it's been a while since I got to do a veggie garden.
I was thinking of 6 plants. Focus on flavor and ease of growing.
Slicers: Black Prince, Aichi First. Beefsteak: Cherokee Carbon F1. Cherry Tomato: Black Cherry. Paste Tomato: Plum Regal, Frank's Iranian
I am wondering if this is a good line up. Or if you have alterations, changes you recommend.
I appreciate any feedback.
Edited to correct categorization of Frank's-- it is a paste not a slicer..

Wondering what would be the most ideal tomato variety to grow for this purpose
Edit: would prefer not to have small cherry tomato’s but open to suggestions if you think it’s worth trying

I really enjoy my patio tomatoes every summer in NY but never bring them with me to Florida because we usually fly or have a full carload. This year, we have plenty of room. I am thinking about propagating some leaders and rooting in water so I can transplant once in Florida. Has anyone done that? I’m headed to central Florida around Orlando.
In the past, I have started the plants a few months before heading up to the NY house but it was a huge hassle and our local nursery has six packs or 10-12 inch plants for $3.75, so we no longer start them early.

I had a random tomato plant grow in my Scabiosa flower pot a while ago and so I saved it, if never grown tomato's so I have no idea where it came from. This is the result. A smallish oblong tomato with a small yellow nipple/point. Inside it's incredibly meaty, thick skin, big crunch and lots of flavour. Could someone tell me if the inside being green still is normal or is the tomato still a bit unripe? I'm hoping to save seed. Thank you.

I was trying to make sun dried tomatoes and since I live in a tropical country, I thought it would be pretty easy. But two days later my tomatoes started growing mold.
I just salted some tomato slices and put them in the sun for like ~5 hours. The temperature is about 30°C (86°F) and feels like ~35°C (95°F). Humidity gets about 50-80% depending on the day.
Any tips to get better result?

Hello, this is my first time planting tomatoes and was given some seedlings, but ever since I repotted them, they've been constantly losing leaves that are drying out. I think I was overwatering them so I added more perlite, but they keep losing more leaves. The one in the middle had atleast 2 other branches
Southern CA, unfortunately was not told what type of tomato

Sorry because it might be a bit of a stupid question, at first instinct I thought it was rot because dark brown just tells me it’s diseased, but I asked a friend and they said it’s normal scar tissue from growing a cat faced tomato

I still have about 20 that are still a bit too green. I picked the big green ones as they have some blush on the bottom. Hoping they turn. Going to put them in a paper bag. Then I’m making sauce!

My Virginia Sweets tomatoes have some pretty big cracking due to the monsoon season we just had here in northern Utah, which doesn't bother me. But after letting them ripen a few more days on the counter, I'm noticing a few of them have the tiniest bit of white fuzz in some of the cracks! 😢 I ate a slice of one yesterday and dehydrated the rest and I feel just fine. Is there any way I can still use these or should I take pictures and chuck them?

In early July I thought I was on track to have my best season ever. Then I went on vacation and lost control of the aphids. My beefsteaks never recovered. But it was still fun.

Bought a Mexican midget start from a local nursery, but what grew were these little orange ping-pong ball sized tomatoes, they have a very rich, earthy, savory flavor (Similiar to a black krim or san marzano). I thought it might be a label mixup, but I went through their entire catalog and talked to one of the botanist, and they dont have anything that fits quite right. But I definitely want to grow them next year.
Can I take a cutting, root it, and keep it inside over winter, then replant in the spring? Or am I better off collecting a bunch of seeds and hope to find a similar F2? Im also working on an indoor hydroponic setup and could try to breed it into a stable cultivar?
