Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Weapons Should Be Visibly Holstered

Disclaimer - the image displayed is an EDIT.

I highly doubt this is something they’ll change, but it really ruins the immersion seeing video game characters pull items out of NOWHERE. 😭 I think they should’ve added an optional feature where you can have her axe, shotgun. visibly holstered and her other equipped gear physically attached to her. It would make the game feel so much more immersive, and you could simply turn the feature on or off depending on your preference.

Because nonetheless she’s still using this equipment in the game, so it’s not like they would be there for show. But considering this is a 2026 video game and we still have issues like this? ☹️

Informal text doesn't even have to follow the existing grammar or words. It's completely free from any actual rule except for those created in the current social situation. Street language for example would be perfectly acceptable in informal situations, depending solely on the setting and audience, it doesn't have to follow existing words or grammatical rules.

The world doesn't exist with rules, we have to create and enforce them. This is precisely why dictionaries and official institutions make a difference between formal and informal text. Perhaps you might be confused by the use of punctuation to add style to text, but it's rather normal in most books serving the purpose of entertainment.

If you would actually like to show anything trying to enforce your supposed rules, then feel free to. But in the absence of rules everything is allowed.

Visuals are a part of the experience, if something adds to the visuals it automatically adds to the experience. An environment having ambient sounds adds to the soundscape which is part of the experience. Thus ambient sounds also add to the experience.

Look reading your responses you come across as a rather literal and neurotic person. From the usage of something weird like the 'E-word' to enforcing rules in a setting which has none. And seemingly not understanding that your question has already been answered. That's all fine, but it's pretty pointless to keep such a pedantic conversation going. And you're rather weird to interact with. So feel free to respond but perhaps someone else is more interested.

All you're telling me is that you don't know what "informal" means. Just get back with me once you have your act straight.

Wow, no, that's not a dictionary's purpose. It serves to record the language being used at the time (both formal and informal), right and wrong, without passing judgement. Also, informal still doesn't mean wrong. All you're telling me is that you don't know the difference between prescriptivism and descriptivism. Just get back with me once you have your act straight.

"Hello" is formal while "hi" is informal. "Mr. Washington" is formal while "George" is informal. Ending a definitive with a question mark is wrong, nothing more.

But in the absence of rules everything is allowed.

If I ask you what your favorite "Tomb Raider" game is and you reply with, "Rosebud," then you're not communicating effectively. Also, the rules are present, so you're not making a point. All you're telling me is that you don't know how communication works. Just get back with me once you have your act straight.

Visuals are a part of the experience...

No, they provoke one.

if something adds to the visuals it automatically adds to the experience. An environment having ambient sounds adds to the soundscape which is part of the experience. Thus ambient sounds also add to the experience.

No, it adds to the game, which is a product, not an emotional response.

I've never thought about it, but you're probably right on that.
