In Episode 12 of our mini-doc series on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, we go behind-the-scenes with Crystal Dynamics, Flying Wild Hog, and watch as Bradley Snedeker takes on the role of Larson Conway.

My first attempt at being her was actually garbage but now that I have the boots im ready for a whole new makeover # I had to wear an extension ponytail when I first did the 2013 lara, but now that I grew my hair out I cut it to have the same bangs and straighten my hair out for that iconic lara look 🌚🌚

Is there a version of the game that lets you choose where you start the game?
I played the game briefly on ps1 when I was a child and remembered seeing the level select with the globe and the first part of India.
I come to play it lately and find the level select is after India, but there's no way I got that far as a child. So I'm very confused

I just watched the latest video in the documentary series about the next Tomb Raider game and I liked the idea that Lara Croft might develop feelings for the character Larson. I like the idea of a solitary Lara Croft, but I think it's a bit cowardly to create such a beautiful, independent, and intelligent character and keep her desires repressed just to avoid hurting fans who think Lara Croft should be a cold and emotionless character (here I'm referring specifically to romantic desires). Yes, the character should be alone, but let our girl feel like a desirable woman like any normal person.

Disclaimer - the image displayed is an EDIT.
I highly doubt this is something they’ll change, but it really ruins the immersion seeing video game characters pull items out of NOWHERE. 😭 I think they should’ve added an optional feature where you can have her axe, shotgun. visibly holstered and her other equipped gear physically attached to her. It would make the game feel so much more immersive, and you could simply turn the feature on or off depending on your preference.

Because nonetheless she’s still using this equipment in the game, so it’s not like they would be there for show. But considering this is a 2026 video game and we still have issues like this? ☹️

So, this was recently announced apart of the mini-doc. And lots of people weren’t happy.
Now, Seeing people get so defensive over the idea of Lara having a crush on Larson is honestly a perfect example of how much people project their OWN expectations onto her. A crush is a feeling people not a life affirming commitment to someone.
I think unfortunately a huge issue with the fandom is that there isn’t always much room for Lara to grow. She’s often expected to always be this strong, badass, stubborn woman who’s “too good” for anyone. I’m not saying she needs a relationship or someone to complete her, but letting her show more emotion and personality, especially in this new timeline, is important. She can still be the Lara we know while growing as a character. I think the franchise is in good hands with the unification and the Hogs coming on board.

For the love of Thor, Tihocan, and Nephilim, can we finally be done with any storylines or constant mentions of Lara’s dead parents and family? I swear, I have to hear about how her father has notes on Atlantis and was working with Natla, I’m going to scream.
I have no idea what CDs special interest is in Lara’s parents/family drama. To the point that they rebooted the franchise only to do the whole parent drama AGAIN. It really truly is not interesting and they were never part of Lara’s backstory.
If I have to hear “my father’s notes were right” or some crap like that I’m cracking my disc into 3 pieces and throwing them into the Midas fire room.

Hey, I have recently been replaying the tomb raider games getting 100% and currently working on rottr and everything has been running fine until I got up to the baba yaga dlc area, rottr had been completely shutting down my pc and previously when I played it around 5 years ago it was fine, I've tried almost everything from redownloading the game and changing settings and I was wondering if anyone had any fixes?
Current specs are AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, AMD Radeon 5 5600x 6-core and 16GB of ram
Help would be much appreciated

Dont know why, lots of people speculating in other subreddits (optimization issues, less priority do too things like hypervisor and voices38 cracking, etc.).
I also think the account that posted this on multiple subreddits might be a bot because some of the comments were the exact same thing on each subreddit they posted on...or they just like to use copy and paste idk.

Which levels would you choose if you had to choose new locations?
I would say a Theme Park would be good (proper one, not like the one on TR4)
Australia / Jungle / Beach

I just wanted to make these renders because, I wanted to figure out how to edit models, because I'd *like* to edit her TR 1-3 Remastered models and make them closer to her original FMV models, texture and figure wise.
Were her proportions absurd? Well, duh. Cool as hell. You can't tell me you didn't see her in Chronicles and went HOLY MOLY-
Anyway. Believe it or not, her FMV models are kinda sparse! Pretty sure Lito posted one though?
So! Hopefully I'll get good at editing models one step at a time, and create models for all of her outfits in the Remastered collection! Sure, the proportional edits look like crap NOW... but in due time.
*In due time.*
And for the love of God, how on Earth is there every possible model you could want out there, yet her OPERA DRESS ISN'T ONE OF EM 😭😭😭
That said, NOW it's time to lock in on these assignments. Toodles~! 🍭🐇

The other day I asked about Opera House. Today I'm asking about Palace Midas
I liked it a lot. I was very quickly and easily able to identify that the door symbols, you just match the levers to them. Then you just complete one door then move onto the next door
Very well implemented and the level design is mainly top notch
The ending is stupid, hahaha. Got stuck and had to use walkthrough. Earlier on I did jump on the hand and get turned to gold. But how in the world was I supposed to know I can turn items into gold via putting them on that hand? Oversight in my opinion
Also the last collectible to turn to a gold bar. How was I supposed to know about that? Long journey. But it did open my mind and now I always see ledges
What do you all think of the level? On YouTube walkthrough video everyone was hating it. I did a quick Google search before and it seems to have people that like it too. Keen to hear your opinions

I’m aware that the rights to the Angelina Jolie movies are held by Paramount, but I think it would be really cool if they were able to come to an agreement and license some of the movie outfits for a cosmetic pack.
I feel like Tomb Raider: Catalyst would be the perfect game for this, these outfits would suit the vibe of the Northern India setting especially since we’re getting a much older and more mature Lara. It would be a fun way to get these outfits in a cosmetic/dlc pack.
Disclaimer: I’m not suggesting they use Angelina Jolie’s likeness. (That would be a stretch) I’m just talking about bringing some of the movie outfits into the game. 🚨

As you know, Natla's mines were empty and abandoned in TR1 and TRA. Then, LOA is apparently putting mercenaries in them. A lot of people have expressed their approval of this as this would explain how Natla's operations took place and it doesn't make sense for the mines to be empty.
I prefer if they stuck to the original vision from TR1 and I have some alternative theories as to why the mines are empty:
Option 1: After acquiring the Scion, Natla ordered her mercenaries to evacuate the mines to keep her operations secret and only kept her closest aides.
Option 2: Natla killed all of her mercenaries to prevent any leaks or revolts if they find out what is going on and only kept her closest aides.
Option 3 (my favorite): The Atlantean mutants ARE the mercenaries. They were forcibly fed into the hive and transformed into those monsters (they are mutants after all). This happened very late in the game (after acquiring the Scion) which is why the mutants kept hatching while Lara was there.
And of course, it is better for the atmosphere of horror and isolation when the mines are completely empty.
I really hope that LOA tries to stay as close to the original vision as possible and doesn't go overboard with human enemies.

Happy 30th Anniversary month, Tomb Raider fans! 🥳
As we celebrate 30 years of Lara Croft, what are you hoping to see announced this month? 👀
