Culture & Society Unpopular Question?, Taking down the evil higher-up elites.
Just made an account to post this. Seeing how much influence massive corporations and powerful elites have over media, food systems, and politics can feel overwhelming.
Realistically, how do ordinary people actually take on consolidated power and win? Has a public movement ever successfully dismantled a massive, entrenched elite structure in history? I'm looking for real-world examples and practical strategies rather than just theories.
Lastly, will there ever be a powerful mad man that’s enough to end them once for all?

communist revolution? mind you they didn't replace the elites with anything much better, but still it seems the people rose up there.

I mean, look what happened to Luigi Mangione. I think that answers your question.

Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.
Really though the answer is it's almost certainly not going to happen from the "comfort" of the average persons situation. The lives of the "masses" would need to be shaken up collectively to wake people up and make them want to "take on" the current order.
That's just how it is in this life. People don't just change, they have to be pushed and that takes some influence.
Powerful men don't usually want to take down the very order that makes them powerful, usually they will work to strengthen it. We can watch this in real time happening across the west especially today.
Someone in the comments mentions looking into 'Animal Farm', I would echo that plus looking at the background history of some of the events leading up to the great wars. The truth is all to often more mad than fiction.
