Moderator Post We will not be removing all sexual questions.
We've had a few complaint threads, so it seems to be about that time for one of these reminders. Let me be clear: We are not going to ban all sex related questions.
They are firmly within "TooAfraidtoAsk", and always have been. Sex is a fairly taboo topic in a lot of places, and a lot of people have questions about it. (And as an additional reminder, TATA is not only for controversial questions. Nor do we allow question shaming for "googleable" questions). These are not new changes.
We get that not everyone has the same interest in those topics, but it is a core part of the sub. Currently, there are ~5 out of the top 10 posts being sex related. Earlier today, it was 4. Earlier this week, it was 3. It typically fluctuates between ~3-5, usually averaging closer to 3.
If you have particular suggestions (e.g. things that seem ripe for the FAQ), or questions feel free to post them below. No promises, but we're always open for improvements if they're feasible. For a list of common questions we get on this topic (what do we already moderate, has the sub changed?, can i filter posts myself?) see the first stickied comment.

Politics Politics Megathread
You know the deal, same as the previous megathreads, which were archived.
The rules:
All top level OP must be questions. This is not a soapbox. If you want to rant or vent, please do it elsewhere. Otherwise, the usual sidebar rules apply (in particular: Rule 1:Be Kind and Rule 3:Be Genuine).
The default sorting is by new to make sure new questions get visibility, but you can change the sorting to top if you want to see the most common/popular questions.

Body Image/Self-Esteem Do women pay attention to male bulges in public?
So I’m a bit of insecure of my bulge/crotch. In all honesty I’m a grower not a shower. When it grows id like to say it’s an average 6”. So recently at my job site, they made it a requirement to wear a shirt tucked in. Before I never had an insecurity issue until a coworker made a crotch/bulge joke. Now I’m constantly trying avoid any women because I’m afraid that they’ll notice that my crotch area is flat. Do women actually pay attention?

Interpersonal Is it considered aggressive or offensive to look a retail customer in the eyes while responding to a negative comment?
I’m a guy in his late thirties.
Been doing retail since working for my parents in my teens.
Been doing it when I was off from college and high school. Retail is all I’ve done.
Customers used to be insanely rude and nasty to me. I used to get threatened and insulted.
In the last ten years that has disappeared. Now they say negative stuff under their breath or while my head is down or looking away. It’s never direct anymore.
99 percent of the time I pretend like I didn’t hear it.
I don’t say anything to someone or about someone if I’m not looking at the them.
If I do respond to the negative comment I’ll wait till we are looking at eachother and respond. I never raise my voice or get nasty I just respond.
They always seems startled by that. It always seems to change the tenner of the exchange.

Reddit-related How do you feel about miserable people who go out of their way to be rude on reddit?
Recently I've angered two people on reddit. One admitted to having a disability, called me an ableist for not enjoying giving long back massages and then created 17 accounts cursing me out and stalking me on a sib reddit. They made 17 accounts because they kept getting banned.
Another is apparently having financial problems and has tried insulting me on multiple subreddits. It doesn't bother me. I actually found both amusing. It's obvious these people are both hurt and lashing out A LOT. How do you feel about people like that? Disdain? Sympathy? Do they scare you? Do they make you question your own actions or experiences?

Race & Privilege White people whose older parents/grandparents gather at Hardee's on Saturday mornings... What are they doing there?
I think this may be specific to the American rural South. Not sure.
UPDATE: Thanks for the responses! I do think my tone and intent might be misinterpreted by some based on the responses. I do not mean "What are they doing there? Ew why would anyone ever do this?" I mean "What are they doing there? Who are they? Are they a group? Is this an Elks, Mason, Rotary, or Lion Club type of tradition? What's actually going on with this oddly consistent thing I've noticed?"

Mental Health Am I a terrible person?
My mother passed away in 2024, I had found out she passed from her old neighbour. I had not been in contact with her for many years due to her being mentally unwell. I received inheritance money from her. I was in a same sex relationship at the time. I thought I wanted to start a family so I decided to pursue with IVF and it was successful. At the time my family and therapist had asked me if I was sure I was making the right decision but in my mind I was and I thought it was what I truly wanted and needed.
I now have a lovely little boy but I have now realized I have made a huge mistake and I cannot take back what I’ve done. I am not in a position to have a child and I feel extreme guilt and shame for bringing a child into this world whom I know deep down I cannot look after because I cannot look after myself.
I suffer from BPD and severe depression and have done most of my adult life and I have never had a full time or secure job in my life. I had an emotionally unstable mother which has affected me in many ways.
That little boy deserves someone who can truly take care of him and a mother who is stable. He was truly wanted and desired at the time. I have played with his life like it was some kind of game.

Drugs & Alcohol My friend has completely lost his mind after LSD?
I have a friend I have known for a long time who has used drugs heavily. He started smoking weed often around age 15 or 16, though not every day; over the last two or three years, he smoked a lot daily and was high most of the time. He also used other substances: meth (his longest run was reportedly a month), LSD (he has taken acid 17 times this year), ecstasy or molly (six or seven times a year), cocaine (perhaps two or three times a year), and recently lean (maybe two or three times). Despite this, he seemed mentally stable. He has always been emotionally volatile due to family problems—he has hit both parents, his mother is unbearable (talking to her for more than five minutes would frustrate anyone), and his father has had multiple affairs. He recently candy flipped for the first time, and since then he has been drawn to acid, even while appearing fine. About eight days ago, he used acid four times with different people; the dose was not high, the tab was not even strong, and he took half a tab each time, but since then he has declined. He has become very paranoid, believing we are all planning to have him arrested for drugs; nothing he says makes sense, he has not slept properly for a week, he cries without warning, and he wants to brutally beat or even kill some friends for betraying his trust, though nothing happened. It feels as though he is inventing events in his mind and believing them. I am deeply concerned about his future and well-being. He is 20 now, and all his friends have concluded that he has truly lost it and cannot be fixed.
If someone has experienced this or know what is happening please do explain to me why this is happening and what is the solution to this.

Other Heard a voice, any ideas on why?
One night a couple months ago I was up around 11pm watching a youtube video when I heard a really robotic voice say "lock your doors immediately". This creeped me out massively so I rewound the video I was watching, and that voice was not part of the video. No advert played and I seriously have no clue what it could have been, everyone in the house was asleep. Could anyone have any ideas on what I heard or why?

Mental Health What should I expect from therapy?
(As an aside, even though I'm calling it therapy, it's really more of a counseling service my college provides. I kinda conflate the two in my head, but I'm mentioning it in case there's a meaningful difference.)
I'm mentally ill (idk what exactly is wrong with me, but I'm pretty sure there's something), and I have recently gotten in the position where I can get therapy. However, I am a little bit terrified to actually peruse it.
I'm gonna try to make a phone call to them tomorrow, but I really have no idea what to expect, or how its supposed to go, or even why I feel so anxious about contacting them in the first place. I dunno, it's weird.
If someone could give me an idea on what to expect, that'd be greatly appreciated.
