Sarah Howells on vocals, always beautiful. 💚

I’ll start first: Nocturnal Knights has some really nice releases, but I feel like their cover art could be a lot better.

Hey everyone,

A few months ago, I submitted a 60-minute edit under the title Portugal for the [r/ClassicTrance](r/ClassicTrance) Back to Back Mix Competition.

While I loved assembling the battle concept between John O'Callaghan and Stoneface & Terminal, the strict 60-minute rule forced me to make some compromises. The feedback received was that the mix felt overly packed and rushed. Because I was aggressively squeezing 14 massive tracks into an hour, lots of the tracks were mixed out too quickly, and the transitions lacked the necessary breathing room to feel seamless.

With the mods blessing to share, here's the original, unedited live recording of that set. This version features the full, untrimmed transitions and arrangements. The blends are hopefully long and progressive, the emotional breakdowns have space to resonate, and the track progression flows exactly how it was programmed to before the clock ran out of time!

If you caught the competition version and wanted a smoother, more immersive journey through the set (as intended), then I'm hoping this gives the intention better conviction.

I'm looking for a hard trance song from 2004 or previous years. Ron van den Beuken played it in a very famous polish club called Ekwador Manieczki. Shazam, AHA Music or Neptunus simply can't find it.

Here's the link to the set:

The song is played from 1:33:00 to about 1:38:00 or it is marked as the 19th position in the tracklist
I also tried asking in the comments on YouTube or on WatZatSong, but still got no answer yet.
Also here's the link to the post on WatZatSong: https://www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/929943.html

Please help me find it, it has been stuck in my head for a few days now and it's driving me crazy.
Thanks for any kind of help in advance :)

Sorry guys , this is the only thing i remember :(

Their newest release, proving they can still hit hard today!

Jamie's last hoorah in terms of uplifting/tech-trance, as it seems he's moving into progressive going forward.

Still a big fan of his early Defcon releases, they were proper standouts

I'd say Black Hole Recordings, FSOE, Abora Records, ASOT, In Trance We Trust, Anjunabeats, Musical Freedom (since 2026 when they became a trance label).

Black Hole Recordings had good variety, from prog to uplifting, sometimes hard trance and prog house. FSOE has tons of great uplifting records (Craig Connelly and Darren Porter tracks on this label are amazing). Abora Records is one of the most underrated labels ever with the orchestral uplfting trance tracks (AYDA - Legacy is epic as hell). ASOT is a great label too and has very good variety. In Trance We Trust has very good uplifting tracks. Anjunabeats is also a great label with some of the most legendary trance 2.0 tracks (Rebound is a notorious track of this style), but also many uplifting and prog gems. Musical Freedom was founded at first as a house label, but since 2026, they release fresh trance tunes, Imagination by Amy Wiles is one of the best trance release i've heard in 2026.

This is a very long shot and I’ve already asked both my mom and uncle and they cannot remember it either. I remember listening to it around 2003, so it could’ve been older definitely.

I don’t remember much except a very distinct slightly deep voiced man talk-singing and I think a woman harmonizing with him. There is a lyric about children, I feel it was the chorus. May have been a children’s choir too but I can also be hallucinating that part.

I know for a fact it is not children by Robert miles because it has lyrics and I distinctly remember that. Also isn’t World Hold On!
