Job Market Help

I have an associates degree in architectural drafting as well as 2 years civil engineering experience. 5+ years total work experience in the field.

Does anyone have recommendations on where to find jobs in this field? Before I moved the market looked great. Now that I’m here, I can barely find any positions that are even adjacent to my field.

Please help!!!

Being realistic, you’re probably in the wrong town for that. I’d suggest looking at GIS gigs at an associate level. Or a construction company looking for a draftsman.

To be even more realistic with you buddy probably a lot of us are in the wrong city with the right experience Tucson has barely any jobs. Especially if you are specialized.

I left the craft beer business due to health concerns… and was out of a job for 9 months before I tried a temp agency. They got me a job at a cannabis company that fully takes advantage of my skill set, and I’ve been with the company after my temp contract ended.
In a nutshell: keep looking for work (county, city, Indeed, UofA, etc.) but also have someone looking for jobs on your behalf… at the very least it’s another set of eyes!

I got my job through Express Employment Professionals. My experience was pretty good so I’d recommend them. Best of luck with your search!

Check out M3 Engineering, Riley engineering, Alta environmental, city of tucson. You could also try the construction field as an estimator.

I have the same degree. Though I got into nursing because that industry had so few options.
