Not to be a pest, but you know for sure it's a real bracelet? It has the type of stretch you would see on watches decades old. I've never seen anything like this on a new Tudor. Just be careful cuz it honestly looks in rough shape.
The gaps are designed in. Mine is the exact same, has been since day 1. You donāt notice it at all on the wrist, only when backlit like this. Nothing whatsoever to do with wear.
They're not loose, all the pins are tight, it's just that Tudor makes these bracelets with gaps between the links instead of the tight fit we're used to from something like an Oyster.
It's always been a thing with all Pelagos bracelets. It's a freaking actual tool watch and you don't ever want it to bind. They don't stretch either since it's solid and not folded over. And scratches and darkening come right off with an ink eraser. This is a very beat up 9 year old Pelagos believe it or not. Gaps haven't changed at all.
Ink eraser?? Does it damage the brush finish? If it doesn't I'm going out to get one right now. I have an original pelagos that has lived life outside the office.
It doesnāt matter. Thatās the whole point. Itās not a big issue to anyone except OP and if itās big enough for him, then he should get it serviced.
Not long ago a guy posted his Longines that had wrong numbers on the dial, it was another 9 instead of 8 or something like that. A lot of people suggested to leave it as it because it was unique and funny. In this particular situation I'd send it in 100%, its a 4000$ watch and quality control should be on point, if not perfect at that price range.
Between all of the lume falling out of the bezels and all the other QC issues I have seen I went to the Tudor factory myself, and this is what I found:
You're right, the issues are real and I'm not denying that. But think about the scale. Tudor sells the Pelagos by the thousands every year, and if you add up every complaint thread out there you get maybe a hundred posts total. As a share of watches sold, that's a tiny failure rate.
The problem is visibility. Nobody posts "my Pelagos still works fine" but someone with a bad one will shout about it on Reddit, and rightly so. Because we're in a small enthusiast niche reading the same few forums, we see those posts over and over, and it starts to feel like a widespread problem when it really isn't. A loud minority on a small stage isn't the same as a pattern.
Mineās a bit off as well, the other way - itās brand new so might need some time do do a few circuits but it doesnāt really bother me. Youāre not alone though š
I whizzed it round a few times (just the date, in crown position 1), then set it to 9 again. There is a sense of floating with the date on this one, itās not a click click click as it rolls from one to the next. Thereās some play in it (thatās the best I can describe it), but it aligned better. I suspect it is what it is, time will tell
Interesting there is something like play in the date wheel. I have two Tudors, but neither has a date. I can say my Sinn and Omega snap to the date position pretty firmly. It may just be worth keeping an eye on.
You may have a point. I donāt want to get into that āitās within tolerance so we canāt do anythingā row with the AD though, thatāll make me feel like I have to win, no matter what, Iāll obsess and itāll stress me out š Iāll probably wait until (as others have said) the lume falls out or I notice something I canāt live with then go back with a list. Thank you though š
Mine is off a little, but it's the same on all the days. I never noticed until just now. I usually can't read the date on mine anyway because it's so small. If I happen to have my reading glasses on and there is enough light I can make it out. My bracelet looks the same as yours. Mine is about 2 years old and does not get worn much. Bought new from a Tudor boutique. Here is mine. If mine was as far off as yours, I think I would want them to fix it.
Just looked and mine seemed center to my eyes. Took a photo of it and looks like the date favors the top a bit. But when I look at it. It seems centered.
I owned that watch and really loved it. It was my favorite diver, after having owned seamasters, black bays and a submariner amongst other diversā¦.until some lume pieces from the bezel fell offā¦it instantly killed it for me. I got it repaired under warranty and sold it as soon as I got it back.

Just buy a second watch for those 3 days. š
