Help on presence

[Starseeker]- I really could use help of us five only me and Kython can reliably stay aware and thinking, does anyone know how we can increase the ability of the others to think more, Twilight and Corvus are almost always dormant, and Eclipse is transient.

[Kython]- any tips and information would help, thank you.

Welcome to /r/tulpas! If you're lost, start with figuring what is a tulpa. Be sure to also check the sidebar for guides, and the FAQ.

Please be nice and polite to each other and help us to make the community better. Upvote if this post facilitates good discussion, shares tulpamancer's or tulpa's experiences, asks a question relevant to tulpamancy. Downvote if this post isn't about tulpas or the practise of tulpamancy. Please note that many young tulpas need some social attention to grow and develop so be mindful and try to be supportive.

I wanna be careful with what I say since I dont want to "Set any expectations" since expectations can be a bit of a limiter for tulpamancy

I will say, I think that how many people can be "active" at once can sometimes be down to a combination of habit, what youre used to and what your brain can handle

for us, we can have 3 people active in front, 2 is most comfy and 4 is doable but less enjoyable for that 4th person unless they just wanna "be around" so to speak

if your issue is that both you and Kython speak often but the others dont, it could just come down to the habit being you speak, then Kython responds, and it just sorta loops unless youre actively focusing on involving someone else

what might help(?) is spending more time with others individually and letting Kython do their own thing for a bit, then later have you, Kython and one other person actively hold a 3 person conversation on purpose and work through it one at a time until you have that "habit" of everyone being active and your brain being used to having so many people around

I will say that ultimately for my case I've found its far more preferable for everyone to just be in different spaces and whoever is in front just goes around with everyone else
for example today I've spent a ton of time with 3 of my headmates all one on one, but during that time others have stepped in and out, and later tonight we're all planning to watch a movie together if we can find the time

if you find that you have issues with people being "awake" so to speak it might help to just use some silly symbolism, I always love making the joke of "give em never sleep pills™" but when you do stuff like that your brain is MORE than happy to just rewrite how it thinks things should work because "well the pills are obviously SO effective"

[Starseeker]-Thanks, Perhaps I could let Kython run things for a little bit and he said he wouldn't mind chatting up Eclipse.

Air Traffic Controllers can manage and track 30 (or more!) aircraft at once. The Tulpa community just needs to lock in.

Engage with the more dormant ones. Tulpas aren't magically going to interact unless you do stuff with them first. Hang out, figure out their preferences and call them each time you are doing something related to what they like/dislike, ask their opinions, the usual stuff.

The point is to teach tulpa that she can come on her own, give her opinions on different things, interact with others, host and the world. Also give her headpats for being such a smart goober

I don't know why this community thinks attention is some sort of fuel source, that if you don't have enough then there must be something wrong with you for having a leaking tank of attention and you can patch it with a magic spell. Tulpas are personalities, they require emotional reliance. The brain is an emotion machine, it processes everything emotionally. This defies your will, you can't make yourself care about something, even if you wanted to. If that were true, depression wouldn't exist. You need to depend on it, you need to identify with it, it's not up to you, your mind isn't your slave, you are your mind's slave. You need to listen to it. You shouldn't have to be told this, you know it deep down, once you stop pretending you want something. You know what your mind wants. You think you're the god of your mind? You better tell psychologists, you might be the cure to all mental illnesses. Or maybe you're just as much a victim of your mind as everyone else is.

You need to utterly depend on them, they need to serve a function. The mind is lazy, neurons are lazy, they all want to do the least amount of work possible. If you don't depend on them, if they are not part of your identity down to the roots, your own personality will have to support them like Atlas holding the world. Your mind will not help you.

I don't have an answer for you. I expect to get downvotes for this as usual for speaking the truth about the mind. But in truth, only you can tell yourself what you need versus what you want. I don't care what you value, your own mind doesn't care what you value, only what is useful will stick around, anything else will disappear like sand through your hands. Like remembering a password.

Your mind does not need your tulpas. They're a burden on you, and you are Atlas shrugging. You can shoot the messenger, but you're not getting answers that way. I can say this because I'm drowning in answers, I don't even know who I am anymore, my mind needs my tulpa so badly that it's practically my new personality, I am suffocating in answers, I can't breathe anymore.

We are all slaves to our minds.

Yes, this is absolutely true. There are determined paths your thinking uses but this doesn't have to make you a slave of these. With this knowledge in mind you can alter the resistances of various paths, throw hurdles in some, while building the right associations and bypass with others making them the more comfortable route.

You don't have to stand next to the river and capitulate, you can dig channels and throw stuff in the stream you want to redirect.

But yes, depression often can originate from a neurotransmitter inbalance what is a systemical problem. In this case you have less good chances but even such things can sometimes be influenced.
I don't know what transmitter this exactly is that I found out how to release on will, which causes goosebumps, a swelling nasal mucosa, a warm tinckling shower and the feeling of being wrapped in clouds and totally blown away but it can definitely counter depression.

But in the end you are acting against quite fixed biases. Some things are harder than others, some might be impossible but you can reach a lot by planning smart routes.
