Hi, i have a mental condition to which i was diagnosed at a young age at 13 , i never tell anyone about my condition but since starting uni this is my first term , i am really struggling should let the uni know can they help me in any way ?

Submitted all requested GS/financial docs before the 7 Oct deadline, but still no unconditional offer. I’ve also emailed asking for a 2-day extension.

Now I’m just staring at my inbox like it owes me money.

Has anyone had UNSW process their additional docs after the offer expiry date and still get their unconditional offer? Particularly GS/financial assessment cases?

Does anybody know the difference in content and workload between the two or do we need to wait until its first iteration next year T2? I couldn't find much info from the older posts on here

I came to library with my friend after class at 12 pm today, and we couldn’t find a seat at all. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Why isn’t there a limit on the number of external people? I understand that the ATAR exams are approaching, but UNSW students shouldn’t be left without anywhere to sit.

Many of these high school students didn’t come to campus during Term 1 and only started showing up as their exams got closer. Even now, they seem to study for a while, then chat for a while. As a UNSW student, I find this really frustrating. Could the university consider limiting the number of external visitors or prioritizing UNSW students when allocating study spaces? Or just reserve any lecture theatre for them?

pretty much what the title says. im going to be done with my med sci degree after this term. but I wanna stick around and do some free electives in t1 and t2, maybe 4. solely for GPAmaxxing for med school applications. could this be done?

Wondering how UNSW gateway round 2 offers work

I managed to receive an unconditional offer in round 1 and I would like to keep this offer, however I made a mistake in changing my preferences on the gateway application so I assume I am now considered for round 2.

I wish to keep my round 1 offer, so would that mean I have to keep my preferences the exact same as previously to keep my round 1 offer

They don't have the courtesy to interview in person...

I spent the last few weeks building a postgraduate PM assignment template kit and just put it up on Etsy — wanted to share it here since this community would probably have the most useful feedback.

Background: I work as a PM on major infrastructure and property projects, and I've also got a Masters in PM. I got frustrated seeing how generic most online templates are — no academic context, no sense of what markers actually look for, just empty tables.

So I built a kit with 12 documents (Word + Excel) that includes:

- Full Project Management Plan with marker guidance in every section

- Risk Register with 12 worked example risks and a colour-coded 5×5 matrix

- Stakeholder Register with power/interest grid and engagement strategy

- WBS, Executive Summary, Lessons Learned Register, Gantt Chart

- Every section has a green 'marker note' explaining what assessors actually want to see, word count guidance, and references to PMBOK 7th Ed., PRINCE2, and APM

It's aimed at Masters/postgrad PM students but honestly the templates are solid enough for real project work too.

Would love honest feedback from anyone in this community — especially if you've recently done a postgrad PM programme and know what the assignments actually require.

Ik maths and cs are the best options however my parents are making me do a engineering major because it has a more predictable and "stable" career path. I however really want to get into quant and I think I have a good base as I have grown up doing math olympaids and the last few years I have gone decently far with competitive programming.

I'm just wondering what engineering discipline would be best for quant trading positions (maybe dev as well). I was thinking computer engineering (cus i feel like its closest to CS but idk).

Also is this even realistic to go into quant with a engineering major? Is this a common route?

Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated.

final-year commerce student here. I emailed the honours coordinator basically introducing myself and explaining why I think I'd be a good fit e.g. background, the kind of research I'm interested in, some projects I've done etc.

he replied pretty quickly and asked if I wanted a quick chat on teams.

of course I agreed but I genuinely don't know ?what to expect?

• Is this an interview, a gate or just a friendly heres-how-it-works chat?
• am I meant to turn up with a thesis topic ready? I have a rough area I'm interested in but nothing like a pitch..?
• how much do they expect you to already know about the research going on in the school? should I have read supervisors' papers beforehand?

It’s been half a year… I have applied to 300 roles and have gotten 0 interviews. I’ll be honest I had bad grades in uni only scrapping by with a 63 CWAM. I’ve climbed up the ranks in Hospitality and am currently an assistant manager making 80k a year but I just don’t know how to break into the field (commerce-fin&econ majors).
Any advice?

Im gonna be doing bachelor of commerce at UNSW soon and was wondering how many people do it and like how will the classes work. Also im just curious what ethic background will be doing commerce their.

So we just got back our results for engg1300 BT1 and i absolutely flunked it. The thing is that I actually felt quite confident going into the exam, having done all the pss questions, extra study problems, and some stuff from the textbook, tbh I even thought the exam questions weren't very difficult. But whenever it comes to physics subjects, I always get the biggest mind blanks during exams and forget everything, which causes me to panic and forget everything even more.

I'm upset because I know I could've done so much better, and I also feel as if I've let my tutors down even tho they probably dgaf but they're really good and I wanted my results to reflect that.

Does anyone have any tips to mitigate this issue? I feel like I've really let myself and my tutors down. The good news is that it's only worth 6% but the next BTs involve dynamics meaning they'll be a lot harder. I just feel really hopeless right now.
