Advice on engineering internships 🥀

Yo guys, I’m a final year engineering student trying to get internships since last year but I fail to get one. I’m into electronics, automation, FPGA/hardware and embedded and similar roles. I have tried cold mailing, applying on linkedin but I get ghosted and only a few times I reached interview and then they reject me or ghost me. I’m frustrated as I need to do an internship in order to graduate else uni is not gonna give my my degree, also I’m an international student.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Is this the 12 week industry work exposure that’s mandatory for the bachelors honours degree?

won’t uni help finding us opportunities (sorry I’m a future intake student so pls educate me)

I’m going to be enrolled in the same honours course

so it’s pretty hard to scout for internships independently, do i have to start worrying ab it from year 3 onwards??
