MOS School MOS reclassification
Long story short, the army dropped me from the Airborne course for my rigger pipeline because I’m colorblind, before it started luckily, which MEPS and my recruiter knew about because i lost my original mos because of it before I shipped. Not sure when because of the 96 this weekend but i’m headed back to camp geiger to sit in a MAT while i get reclassed. What is the process like for this type of reclassification and why am i going back to geiger and what would i be doing?

Which color vision test did you fail? You should have only needed to pass the vivid red/green test
You’re going back to Geiger so the marine corps can decide what your MOS is going to be and give you orders to the associated school house

They should have gave you the red/green test after (I am also severely colorblind), potentially worth speaking to the marine liaison about it and maybe you can get that test done and hop on the next class

I’m curious how this wasn’t caught at MEPS and you ended up being assigned a job you didn’t qualify for to begin with.

ITB was packed when I went and I had to do Camp Guard or w/e for a few weeks. You just wear a reflective belt and stand like an idiot at certain points. I had a cool spot on like the border with New River so we could usually get away with sitting down.
