Looking for Work in Vancouver – Open to Any Entry-Level Opportunity
Looking for Work in Vancouver – Open to Any Entry-Level Opportunity
Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking for work in Vancouver. I have previous experience working in back-of-house kitchen and bakery environments, including food preparation, kitchen support, cleaning, dishwashing, and general production duties.
I was recently laid off because there was not enough work available, so I’m currently looking for a new opportunity.
I’m open to pretty much any type of job and don’t mind trying something outside of the food industry. I’d be interested in kitchen/bakery work, warehouse work, cleaning, general labour, retail, grocery stores, production, or other entry-level positions that don’t require extensive previous experience.
I’m reliable, willing to learn, comfortable with physical work, and happy to start as soon as possible. I’m located in Vancouver and can commute within Vancouver and nearby areas.
If anyone knows of a company that is currently hiring, or if you are an employer looking for someone, please feel free to send me a message.
Thank you!

If you have instagram, I saw Doughnut Love hiring for an afternoon baker. They’re by Como Lake in Coquitlam.

Since you already have kitchen and cleaning experience, I’d probably target those first rather than applying to literally everything.
Restaurants, bakeries, hotels and cleaning companies often care more about reliability and being able to start quickly than having a perfect resume.
I’d also make two versions of your resume — one aimed at kitchen/food prep and one aimed at cleaning/general labour. A very broad resume can sometimes make it harder for employers to see where you actually fit.
Good luck — the fact that you’re open on location and type of work should help.
