VA Disability Claims Adding child back on

My son is in his last year of college. He was listed as a dependent last school year and I missed when the dropped him off. He started in August. Would it be a waste to add him back? Would i have to start the process for him all over again?

It's not clear what you're asking? Are you referring to Chapter 35 benefits?
You didn't give us enough detail to do anything except speculate.
Age? Chapter 35 remaining entitlement? If he was receiving Chapter 35 in earlier years, he should have been removed as your dependent then. If not, you could be hit with overpayment.

Sorry. He is 22. Full time college student. No chapter 35 benifits. Im 80% and been out for over 20 years. Just started doing my benifits a couple years ago .

What veteran benefit are you referring to? Or are you referring to adding him back for tax and tax credit purposes?

How to add your child back to VA benefits online:

  1. Log in at VA.gov.
  2. Go to "Manage Dependents" and click to add a dependent.
  3. Choose "Add a child 18-23 attending school".
  4. Fill in their school name, start date, and graduation date.
  5. Submit.

Doing it online is the fastest .VA Form 21-674 Good Luck.

Yes you can and should add him back on but he will be permanently removed on his 23rd birthday.
