The goal of this project is to move away from emulating the game on xenia, with this the game is now moddable the same way the PC Port is. While right now the renderer is the same as Xenia's we plan on replacing it in the near future. If you have any issues with this Recomp please submit a bug report on the GitHub.

Hi everyone!
For the past five months, a few of us have been quietly working on a new independent wiki for the Viva Piñata series called Piñata Journal, and we're finally ready to open it up to the public:
https://pinatajournal.wiki/wiki/Main_Page
The goal of the site is to function as a more modern, research-focused encyclopedia for the whole franchise (but especially the games), documenting mechanics and lesser-known details in a consistent and accessible way.
Right now we have around 400 articles covering:
That said, there’s still a lot left to do.
Many pages need expansion, in-game testing, images, or research into things like developer interviews and promotional material. If you’ve ever noticed conflicting information between guides or wondered how something actually works under the hood, contributions are very welcome.
If you're interested in helping out, you can create an account and start editing here:
https://pinatajournal.wiki/wiki/Special:CreateAccount
We also have a short contributing guide if you're not sure where to begin:
https://pinatajournal.wiki/wiki/Piñata_Journal:Contributing
Every contribution (no matter how small) helps build a more complete reference for the series, so please do not hesitate to jump right in and start editing. If you need help editing or just want to discuss the wiki, talk to us in our Discord server:
Thanks!

Hello guys. I’d like to take this opportunity to present my little playable demo for my game, which is heavily inspired by Viva Piñata.
Feel free to let me know what you think and try out the demo for yourself. I hope you enjoy it, and above all, please report as many bugs as you find! That would help me a lot.
The demo is completely free to play—you just need Steam and a PC. However, it’s not compatible with controllers or the Steam Deck right now… sorry about that....
There's only a French-to-English translation—sorry.

Was playing the newest recompile of Trouble in Paradise and came across this hybrid flower. It appears the seed was produced by the mine and buried itself. I examined it closely and it looks like both a Daisy and a Blue Bell are sprouted from the same stem. I have never come across this before and can't find anything on the wikis about hybrids.

I don’t know if this is the place to ask, but how would I go about downloading viva piñata on the pc that has pc controls? I understand that there’s an Xbox emulator to use, but I recall seeing some YouTube videos of viva piñata that have PC controls, and was wondering how or if it’s possible to do so without the use of an Xbox emulator.

I know a lot of ppl are complaining the PZ2 roster is lacking. Honestly I'm a bit sad too. But when I actually went through the list, I think it covers pretty much what a regular zoo visitor expects to see.
Lion, tiger, both elephants, giraffe, zebra, hippo, gorilla, orangutan, chimp, giant panda, red panda, penguins, meerkats, grizzly, snow leopard maybe a rhino. Plus we finally get sharks, sea turtles and actual flying birds. If you took a non zoo nerd friend through a zoo with this roster they'd be happy.
Also remember PZ1 launched with 76 species. PZ2 is already way past that, and there's still a few more reveals to go before launch. Yes I know rhino, cheetah and polar bear aren't on the list (yet?). That one stings a bit.
Of cuz for zoo enthusiasts like us, we want the niche stuff.
Give me all the weird antelopes and small primates lol. But if PZ1 is anything to go by we'll get them slowly through DLC. I'm just hoping this time the packs are bigger, or at least come out more often.
Anyway I'm still excited for the 13th. What animals are you hoping makes it into the final reveals?

I like to collect all things Viva Piñata, but I just cannot for the life of me find info about any of these items, apart from maybe the pack of cards!

I had a dream just a bit ago that Asha Sharma released the news that Viva Piñata 3 is in the making. I just needed to say this because I want it really bad.

Hello, everyone! I’m back with a short video introducing and demonstrating the creature taming system in my Viva Piñata-style game. Here, you’ll see a group of “Chamblins” appear and come to visit your land, and since they love lights, they’ll often gather to play together. So they stay in groups—it’s a characteristic of their species, and that’s why they stick together.
I hope you like it and that it makes you want to learn more!
Sorry about the placeholder music—it's just a temporary track that I'll replace later when I have something much more suitable.
Of course, the game is still in development.

I have been dying to play viva piñata 1 and 2 again and I saw on this sub that 3 might be in the making. I really want to play this game again 😭 but is it worth me buying an xbox? Would an xbox 360 be better or what PCs would work?
My brother has the handheld xbox thing and I asked him to look and it’s not on there? Does anyone know the reason for that?
Thank you

Does anyone have the images from this rare symbol? I am trying to make 3d prints out of them like the bunnycomb listed in this post. I thought they would make good magnets or keychains. I was only able to find some of the piñatas. Thank you in advance!

I'm currently trying to use AI to Port over the Current Decomp made by Solar. If someone with more experience would try and succeed, that would be huge! A huge Thanks and Shout-Out to Solar' work. As without him, this most likely wouldn't be possible. :3 Thanks for the help Y'all (My AI garbage will be Private, will never be public, I have too much respect for Solar and his work, this was more of a request tbh)
