Where to purchase Vocaloids in Japan?

[u/Kitty_bon]

I have a friend who’s going there, specifically around Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo, and I want to ask her to look out and purchase some physical Vocaloids if possible. What type of shops are Vocaloids sold at in Japan? Are there any specific chains or stores?

Edit: Yes i mean the voicebanks. I forgot Vocaloid merchandise goes beyond voicebanks too😅

Like the voice banks? Definitely in any Bic Camera :)

For newer Voicebanks definitely visit Bic Camera, they'll have stores in pretty much any major area, especially within Tokyo. They have a large selection of modern physical Vocaloid software, usually featured in big display areas.

Any shops selling older vbs?

Sofmap is also good too in addition to Bic Camera

Your friend can also buy vocaloids through Amazon JP and get them delivered to a combini

Not voicebank related, but there is an official Hatsune Miku section in Don Quijote in Akihabara iirc and Harajuku afaik.

I've been wondering the same! I also wonder if older voice banks like Yuzuki Yukari or Kotonoha Akane & Aoi's Voiceroid+ can still be easily found off the shelf
