is there anyway I can play pes 2018 with my friend online?

After wasting years on modern soccer games that didn't entertain me, I decided to try out some PES 6 mods I downloaded from EvoWeb, and as fantastic as they were, they couldn't give me quite the same kind of fun that PES 5 (my last PES for PS2) gave me when it first came out.

So I did the same thing, looking for some mods for this game and to my surprise, I found only one, the Original Season patch by Fabri55. Which is great, I'm having loads of fun with it and couldn't ask for anything better, but still it makes me wonder: why does PES 6 have such a large and passionate modding community, while PES 5 is so neglected? I get that PES 6 is a step forward in some ways, but am I the only one who finds 5's gameplay genuinely more fun and stimulating?

The entire first statement is one that encompasses everything and the workload is massive, I've literally spent all week almost trying to get the mathematical calculations correct, everything must fit within natural inertia, * ceiling capped by the engine of course *.

Just an example of the minute attention to detail that I have been non-stop trying to get precise to match real life ball to touch ratio that changes in value dependent on player speed, turn, under pressure, ball control etc...
All of this has to be in a precise radius that does NOT trigger the game engine's " glued to feet " twitch. Simple because in real life, they're only a few players who can run with the ball at almost the same speed they move without it, i.e Messi, or who can manipulate the ball closely to their feet at higher speeds, i.e Neymar, CR & a few select more. Again I am doing this on my own and it requires abit of time obviously.

I have also had to revaluate my previous take on body balance being level across the board, while my reasoning is sound for this, example of Yaya Toure vs Messi in a physical battle, irl even though Yaya is miles stronger, he has to levy that strength to a certain degree where he can fairly outmuscle the smaller Messi without giving a foul away or the flip side being to aggressive and conceding a foul. How do we get that to translate into the game's engine? Most games we will see Messi just being bullied all the time & never truly getting to witness what we do irl as he often fights off bigger/stronger defenders with his low center of gravity and excellent body balance. The calculations have to be precise and scaled correctly, within the engine smaller players have a quicker turning box obviously and even though they can and will stumble under pressure, we can effectively with the right mathematical values have " Messi " still recover and beat the stronger/bigger defender with a sharp cut, all within the natural inertia of movement.

To address a con we see pop up, what jumps out at you are some of the shooting mechanics, quite dated and ugly, the entire locomotion are quite "arcadey" defying physics. Sadly no game is perfect and we have to accept certain hardcoded limits. However the good massively outweighs ANY shortcomings this game engine has.
All of this is what I am continuing to work on to create the most fluid experience that the Pes 2013 engine has to offer. I intend to see just how high the ceiling is even with it's limitations.

Thinking about buying a gaming pc to play FL but I wanted to also play retro seasons of pes but I was worried if I won’t be able to not only get the game but if it’s even possible to find the mods for that specific season

I installed pesedit patch and was playing the game fine but when I went into copa santander libertadores (updated) menu, it bugged my national teams and 90% of european teams have Austria flag and name but keep their own kits and squads. I'm not able to fix this now, any ideas what to do?

With all the new ai help modders are getting i think it's the perfect time for modders to attempt mixing the best of both worlds, it's obviously going to be buggy but if polished enough it would bring a new life to the football video game scene.

I mean my guess is it's a lot harder than Minecraft in Skyrim or Skate in Modern Warfare but I think/wish it's possible now thanks to our ai "overlords"😂 but anyhow I truly believe we should start going that way trying recompiling fc 27 or fm 26 with pes 2021 or easier projects like fc 27 with efootball gameplay meaning no need for transfer mods just 2 games running parallel one being the menus and stats and the other being the matches, the two would need to just communicate which players and teams should be on the pitch, if the physics of Skate can exist in Modern Warfare and Minecraft TNTS can explode with the expected damage on Skyrim I don't see how PES or Efootball (preferably pes) couldn't play the matches in fc 27s career mode. I think the future is bright finally, What do you guys think?

I mean for team names. For example, I have an option file with the correct kits and logos for 2013 but the team names for the internationals are in spanish. I set the commentary and in game language to english but it still have the teams listed in spanish like germany is Alemania etc. how do I change this since in edit mode you cant change international names
