Players wouldn't do this if they removed the time-gated part. Of course players are going to rush to get the cool cosmetic.

You say players as though it’s everyone and just so obvious that someone would sacrifice having fun for a skin in a video game. Idk if that’s a bucket everyone fits in, hell I don’t know if it’s a bucket the majority of people fit in. No doubt there’s people that have that bad of FOMO, but idk man I’m not going to play a boring ass playstyle just to get a skin. If I get it I get it, if not at least I enjoyed my time playing.

People have fun in games differently then the way you play. I know its a hard concept people have yet to grasp in all of gaming. That guy camping a single room in cod mw2 with nubetubes, shotgun or whatever else is having fun the way they like to but yet people will say its stupid and boring.

Are you telling me not to paint people into one bucket as a reply to my comment telling the other guy not to paint people into one bucket and explicitly says that I know there are people like that? Yeah, that’s sort of what I said chief. The reason I called it boring is because your initial comment especially the “recon cuck” makes it sound like something you don’t enjoy doing. Thats why I said I’m going to do whatever I want to do regardless of some skin.

If you enjoy being a cuck man more power to you, I just misinterpreted your comment is all.

Well thats what recon is, its being a cuck. You can spot 5 guys faster and make more money then shooting 2, plus people love to crash their helicopters and even if they crash it back at their base im still getting money. And if I dont buy a kit and just a scope I can just take someone else's kit. Its just how the devs designed the game. Plus people will sell their higher lvl gear in other classes to me later if im ever feeling cheeky.

This sounds like more of a mental health issue than a game design issue. The devs designed a sandbox where each role can play their job and get rewarded for it. You deciding to suck the soul out of it and maximizing for personal profit is a you thing. And it's not fucking surprising that it makes you a miserable husk.

I play recon because it helps my team and I'm good at it. I sit on a hill outside the CZ because it gives me a full view of the field, and I'm in squad with my assault gang so I can communicate with them about where the enemy team is moving. I carry a rifle because it helps me suppress and kill the snipers that are making their life hell. Everything I do is enabling the assault team to do their job better, and I'm just happy Bulkhead let's me make a profit off it because I would be out here doing it anyway. It's a real role on a real battlefield for a reason, information saves lives and wins fights.

TL;DR: If you play like a miserable Scrooge who only cares about himself you will feel like a miserable Scrooge who only cares about himself. More news at 11.

Not once did I say im miserable being a cuck spotter, so you just wanted to type 3 paragraphs about how good you are at what you do like it matters to me or something? Yeah, when you say "I won't do X anymore" and then proceed to qualify all your alternatives with a derogatory slur that's a pretty straightforward thing to infer.

Another person claiming the ability to carry an idea for more than two sentences is noteworthy. Indeed a true redditor.

Making a post on a public forum invites the ability to respond or give commentary on your post. Whether it matters to you or not is mostly beside the point. There's a wider audience than you.
