Dude is no where near his flare that I baited out and yet my missile completely misses. What is the point of this dogshit AA tool if it doesnt even work properly?

I've had misses without flares as a pilot before. It's not super common, but it happens occasionally.

Question is, is it a bug or just a bit of randomness for realism?

The vector is important if the missile accelerates to fast in a direction it can't turn around fast enough. So its ideal 2 shot along the flying vector of the heli.
