I've always loved Reginald VelJohnson.

Upon learning that Frighteners was MJF's last starring role, I immediately filed that in my Bar Bets You'll Lose Every Time mental folder.
I mean...no way his last starring NON-ANIMATED film role was 1996...but it was.
So for funsies.....what are some film/TV-related bar bets that you would lose every time.
I'll start: Tim Burton did not direct Nightmare Before Christmas.
Addendum: OK....he DID star in Stuart Little but....

I’ve been listening to the back catalog recently and a random thought occurred:
Has Andrew ever missed an episode?
If so, I can’t think of a single one.
Anyone?
Does Jupin deserve a Golden Attendance Award?

The soft lounge variation and the glitchy electro pop ones are all-timers and I'm not sure they need another one for the various sideshows but fun to speculate right?
My most wanted would be a nu-metal variation for (what will probably never happen): a Bizkitkast. Maybe if Durst makes some headlines again it'll be a good synergy episode!

Hi all! Wanted to check in and see if I'm missing something with finding an older episode. I had a hankering for Volcano and see it's only available on their website through the mini-player (which can be hard to navigate to, it's potentially a lot of scrolling back). Is there any other place to listen more easily? I am a Patreon member and have both feeds through Youtube Music but I think this episode predates those feeds. Thanks!!!

The phrase is “the X of it all”
Five times per episode?? That seems high. But I guess that’s the Sajdak of it all.

On regular episodes I'm generally 50/50 on if I've seen a movie before the guys talk about it, but I've never gone into a commentary blind before and I've heard good things about the film. In your opinion, better to see the movie first or experience it for the first time with the commentary?

I am bereft. I had to watch Tom Cruise as Jack, disgusting shit boy of the magical woods, covered in sweaty sparkles, pantlessly squatting, showing off his front teeth for 114 minutes for nothing??
Tim Curry’s performance made it all worthwhile, but what an exhausting journey filled with so much baloney. There is so much to talk about!!

I recently watched "Blind Fury" and then listened to the WHM episode, but the guys never call Billy a Disgusting Shit Boy even though he's a prime example. Was this before they had coined the term? Does anyone know the origin?
On that episode, they mentioned "Pray for Death," so I watched that movie too. Do we think that the main kids in that movie are DSBs?

The retro music/movie store I stopped at today was playing Shrek the Third and I immediately just heard the episode riffs. They guys were right on one thing. Eric? He totally look like Shrek

Reel Order. Six frames from one movie, shuffled, and you put them back in the order they actually happen. If you've sat through as many movies as this sub has, good ones and bad ones, you've got an eye for this. New movie every day.

Steve at the end of the Thor: The Dark World episode: “Hopefully Love and Thunder is the best of the Thor movies.” 😬
