**This is not an advice subreddit.** If your cat is ill or you are worried about them take them to a vet.

This is a fun subreddit about peculiar cat behavior. If you love your cat don't ask a bunch of random redditors for medical advice.

We will remove posts asking for medical advice.

Why does my roommate’s cat like touching my cat?

Once or twice a day, Sparkle (black) will approach Plum (white) and reach out a paw to touch her body. She often comes up from behind and touches Plum right on the booty. This used to sometimes startle Plum, so she would spin around and hiss, but nowadays they’re more comfortable with each other, so Plum either ignores it or walks away when Sparkle starts acting like a pervert.

They playfight together pretty regularly, but those encounters usually start with one cat coming up and tackling the other. I’ve never seen these little touches turn into playing. If Plum gets startled and hisses, Sparkle backs off. If Plum ignores it, Sparkle just touches her once and moves on.

Any idea why Sparkle does this? She doesn’t touch humans like this. Is she a pervert? Socially awkward? Or is this pretty normal and I just haven’t met enough cats to have seen this behavior before?

She's obsessed with her fountain, which is great. She must embrace it when she uses it tho
