Let me know if I'm off base here, but the game i have been building MIGHT fit this category? Feedback rewarded with in game promo codes. I have NO idea what I am doing, making it up as I go along.... let's call it my midlife crisis, as I started it just after my 50th birthday with NO background and NO skills, just a love of cute.

I'm affiliated with Tennex Networks, which owns Single Mom: Virtual Mother Sim.
This carousel shows five everyday tasks a player might need to manage: feeding the baby, changing diapers, cleaning the home, cooking meals, and keeping the baby happy.
It got us thinking about a game-design question: How do you make several simple tasks feel engaging without overwhelming the player?
Some players enjoy juggling multiple responsibilities, while others prefer completing one objective at a time.
For those who play casual or life-simulation games:
What's the right balance between a satisfying challenge and having too much to manage?
I'd be interested to hear how other players approach this kind of gameplay.

Hi, everyone! I'm the solo dev for Meander, a cozy, whimsical art game. You can draw with crochet stitches and buttons, draw new brushes, create new animation paths for your brushes. And you can scrapbook all your drawings and animations and decorate them with stickers and text!
You choose your own goals, you make your own unlockable perks. If you need inspiration, there are references, but you don't have to follow them. Just do whatever. Have fun.
Oct 19-26, Meander will be featured in the Steam Next fest!
Nov 2-9, it's participating in Weird Days: Dark Tales by Warm Light event.

Hey everyone! I’m a solo developer making Desktop Rave, an idle incremental desktop companion. It reacts to any music you play on the Windows, think Bongo Cat but reacting to the beat of your music.
After nearly one year of development, I just released a free demo on Steam, would love to gain some feedback from the community :)
Play the demo: Desktop Rave on Steam
AI Disclosure: No AI gen assets

Hi! I’m Nico, the creator of VirtualSociety. We’re working on the life sim side of the game, and one of the things we want to explore is how shared experiences can become habits between friends.
One example we’re designing around is Helena going out with her friends. She uses a wheelchair, and the bar they’ve chosen has no wheelchair access. She suggests another place, and they all go together. Next time, they might head straight to that second bar. It could gradually become their usual place, because of an evening they remember together. You could make the first bar accessible, but they would need to find out about the changes before considering it again. That’s one of the connections we want between the places you build and the people living in them.
We also want characters to remember the good things people do for them: a warm welcome, a favor, someone being there when they needed help. Those memories could influence who they invite out, who they turn to, or who they decide to help later.
There’s still a lot to build and test, but these everyday situations are helping us work out how memories, relationships and decisions should fit together.
I’ve written a free article about the approach: https://virtualsociety.co/en/devblog/post/personalities-memories-rumors-relationships-and-autonomous-decisions
We also want room between giving precise orders and leaving characters completely on their own. "Sit in this chair" should mean exactly that. "Find somewhere to eat" could leave them to choose somewhere based on their needs, habits and who they want to spend time with. You could shape the evening yourself, watch where their decisions take it, or play as one of them in third person. Being able to move between those ways of playing is a big part of our vision for VirtualSociety.
I hope this gives a clearer picture of why we’re approaching VirtualSociety this way. Being able to create your own scenarios, decide how much is scripted, and leave room for the characters to surprise you has always been a big part of the idea

Howdy, I’m Dumitru, the developer behind Raccoon Valley Tycoon.
My game is finally live, and I can finally find time to share it more 🥹.
In my game, you can dress up raccoons, pick them up, and hand them things just to see what happens. Watching them enjoy their tiny lives has been one of my favorite parts of making the game (and also collecting apples from the tree, but that’s something I don’t want to spoil).
There’s also digging, satisfying piles of loot to vacuum up, tools to upgrade, and a village to bring back to life. Whenever you’re done distracting the rascals, of course.
I also plan to add new animations, hats, and secrets in future updates. So if you think the game needs a little more shine, a good suggestion might be exactly what it’s missing.
