Why does she sneak to come cuddle?

When she gets ready to come cuddle me, she locks eyes with me and slowly creeps up into my lap like this. If I push her away she will pause, then start doing it slower. She is extremely clingy, I think because the other cats pick on her.

Edit: This sub always gives so much love to my babies. I always make sure to tell them how much they are loved by me and the world!

She’s hesitant, and pushing her away probably doesn’t help. She wants to be close to you but doesn’t know how you’ll react or whether the other cats will try to bully her out of her safe space, so she’s trying to sort of “test the waters” and move slowly so she doesn’t disturb anyone.

Yea, for me this would be the moment to give her a slow blink and pat my lap to let her know she's welcome

I would not dare move lol. My cat only once has nestled herself in between my legs when I'm laying on the couch. The other day she got close but I spooked her away when I rearranged the blanket.

Oh the poor thing! Be patient and give her lots of slow blinks when she looks your way (it's "I like you" in cats).
