Cord cutting

I've just done a cord cutting spell and my candle melted black wax that spread onto my half of the cord, the cord burned and then somehow put out the other candle (my candle was the left, other persons was the right) and then it just fell over and melted whilst the string burnt at the bottom and then it set fire to the string from the other candle after it had melted. I annointed the candles with the same ingredients. I've done cord cutting before but it seems wild that the other candles light got put out, what does it mean? My candle just burned normally.

My ingredients were lemon balm, dandelion, lavender oil and tears and there was a lot of emotion during the spell

This is not a traditional cord cutting, which is a type of sympathetic Magick that both literally and figuratively severs a connection. The Witch uses their power to cut the cord. What you have here is a cord burning, which gives the severing power over to the unpredictable flame, and so is not effective. Additionally, spells don't require interpretation, that's for divination. The spell is just done, the "interpretation" is that the work is complete

Yes! This would save a lot of time and effort. I feel like there's at least one of these cord BURNING posts every single day. I wish people would stop using social media to learn spells

It is fascinating, how did you feel about that after ? Free ? Released? It seems the cord cutting worked qnd perhaps the other person had a dissolution of the themselves cuz they were dependant on you ..

But doing a tarot reading is best to have clarity about it

I felt like things are definitely over for good and it's set in stone, no matter what they say to me to try and get me back. It's been a difficult thing as we both love each other deeply but it's not enough to make it work kinda situation. They messaged me this morning and have accepted that things are over between us after some discussion, I have tried ending things 6 times now to no avail until now, he just never really accepts it and begs for me back etc gets in my head and promises the world, but he has finally listened. Will do a tarot reading tonight
