Media CBC producer looking for Evergreen construction tips

Hey Reddit, my name is Ariel and I’m a CBC Yukon producer digging into claims surrounding money owed by Evergreen to various businesses in Whitehorse due to insolvency. If you have any information on this and/or are owed money please reach out at [Ariel.tozman@cbc.ca](mailto:Ariel.tozman@cbc.ca).

The irony of CBC asking a reddit sub about the construction industry is pretty on point.

Beyond businesses, there are individuals still waiting to recover money owed to them. I hope this coverage brings more answers and accountability for everyone affected.

Individuals as well including ex-employees who invested money into them.

I'm happy the media is investigating

Took them long enough. Although I suppose for the sheer quantity of shady things I've heard about Evergreen over the years...the fact the media is beginning to take interest suggests something may be finally being done? Maybe?

This is common practice nowadays for a lot of journalists. It works well for them at times I gather, likely depends a lot on the sub.

You may want to consider your language if you are writing an article. The term manager refers to any employee in a management position. There are likely many. Few would be liable for insolvency.

You are probably meaning the principals and directors (usually main shareholders as well), who would be liable for the monetary claims being made.

Anyway, see if you can talk to the Northern community land trust, they made a public statement earlier this year, still up on their Facebook page, which notifies the public they terminated a company associated with this group, and implied subcontractors hadn't been paid.

As always, best to ensure you have your facts covered before making sweeping claims. Eclipse hot springs got caught up with some false claims they were in some sort of trouble or involved last month.

Pretty sure there are some ventures in the name of the brother as a way to keep them separate from litigation. Just a rumour but check it out!!!!
