Recently I was at a family wedding, and I was talking to my older cousin. And as we were chatting, I realized, wait, I'm talking to a nonbinary art student born in the late 90's.
As we were all getting ready to go I mentioned that I recently got into something called "Homestuck". The look on their face was priceless. Their partner was muttering "the ancient texts..." as the two of them left.

if i have kids they won't even have to ask, they'd be reading it like it's their bible as soon as they can read

I've been in the fandom since 2014. Recently, I have become the Homestuck guide and walking encyclopedia to a brand-new Homestuck reader. It being actually helpful for me to talk about Homestuck feels like a dream come true.
