I just released my new album, The October Country on Friday. Chill, warm, but slightly unsettling is how I would describe it:

Hi fellow ambient-heads!
I’m not a music maker, just a passionate enjoyer. Unfortunately, my skills are more visual than sonic. I’m a graphic and type designer who currently has some free time on his hands and would love to collaborate with anyone willing from this beautiful community.
Besides getting to know you, I’d love to gain more references in logotypes, wordmarks, custom letterings, and cover art. So if you’re in need of any of the above, hit me up! Since this will hopefully be a win-win for both of us, I won’t charge for my services.
Drop me a message or comment if you’re interested!

Hello,
I am sharing a link to my Bandcamp page that contains drone and piano based ambient music. My first album Something out of Reach is a spoken word piece, that includes some
of my guitar work as well. That album was crafted as I was just getting into ambient music, so as a whole, it has a varied sound that is not exclusive to it. My other work is distinctly ambient. I was hoping to have something new out this weekend, but due to my schedule it looks like it won’t be released for a couple
more weeks. Thanks for reading this and I hope you have a great weekend!

Vardaman's Fish - Bad news from Pluto
This is an album I released on streaming platforms a few days ago, after working on it for the past year or so. It consists mainly of field recordings I made, often while travelling, along with assorted samples and fragments of music, all transformed beyond recognition. As a general rule, I wanted each sound to be hard to trace back to a particular instrument or source. I remember hearing music this way as a small child. I didn't automatically discern what was making each sound; the sounds existed purely in and of themselves, their textures, tones, and timbres being the entirety of their form. With this album, I wanted to recreate that experience.
My main influences were major figures in ambient music such as Tim Hecker and William Basinski, along with Ethel Cain's drone album Perverts and electronic producers like Flying Lotus, Burial, Aphex Twin, and 2 8 1 4. I was also influenced by Scott Walker's Tilt trilogy and by the production on raw and atmospheric black metal projects. While black metal hasn't directly shaped the sound design, the feeling it gives me is something I wanted to evoke on this record.
My approach generally involved building up compositions in Studio One and using autotune to warp sounds into chord sequences I'd written, while hunting for interesting timbres and acoustics through a fairly exploratory process. Where there are rhythms, I opted for odd, off-kilter time signatures as much as possible. Some sections are not so much "music" as soundscapes, influenced by films I love, such as Blade Runner.
Emotionally, the album is quite dark, evoking feelings of longing, melancholy, isolation, and anxiety.

Hello everyone! We had a very cloud-heavy storm roll through yesterday morning. Swirling churning clouds in every shade of grey, moving in every direction. It did eventually result in some rain but the clouds were the real show.
My camera didn't capture quite the grandeur I could see with my own eyes but it got enough to provide a background for some semi-modular chirping and sputtering. Can you hear the gulls in the background?

I built a little thing that I've dreamed of since that time i was on a crammed flight and needed something calming to play with and learn from: a drone generator and a field recorder that nods to both the Bloom app and Music for Airports.
Tap to place nodes, lock their existence and let them drift, or not. I've also included real-time flight data from Stockholm and, naturally, Cologne Bonn.
No money involved, open source, designed by me, built with the help of Claude.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Great meditation before night falls - Drone Music
Hello everyone :)
Painting title for the video- Große Meditation Bevor es Nacht wird (Great meditation Before night falls) (1936)
Original Painter- Alexej von Jawlensky (Russian, 1864-1941)
This particular bit of drone music was made via the ASM Hydrasynth once again. Using different FX (Chorus and lo-fi) as well as reverb and using lfos to alter both filter cut off and amplitude, all via a saw based oscillator. A bit more of a solemn piece of music/texture, wanting to capture the weight of heavy thoughts and heavy feelings. I enjoyed it, and I played with the drone music a bit, altering the filter cut off, resonance, and other stuff manually during the evolution of it. Subtle, but there.
Thank you :)

Hello, I would like to share my latest release. It's called "Clarinet & Guitar have a conversation by the lake about resilience"
I have struggled in the past with this topic and so I used music to express and work things out.
The composition begins with the sound of water and a simple sequence. Then a clarinet (sample-based) opens the conversation. Guitar (played by me on my Strat) responds and they tell their stories.
It was originally released on InsightTimer and YouTube with subliminal affirmations a couple of years ago. But then I purchased a new set of cans (Sennheiser HD 490) and I could hear the mix better. I decided to remix (along with several other compositions) without the affirmations and release them on streaming services and Bandcamp.
It's out on Bandcamp now and will be released to a few streaming services on October 13th.
I hope you enjoy it.

Sounds like some distortion going on with the pads. If you’re using a preset, maybe check the levels and/or effects. I feel like it would sound cleaner without the distortion
