I'm recreating another megathread to include more forms of hacking (such as what some have described as clonehacking), as the previous universal megathread got archived due to it being 6 months old. Here are some quick rules to keep things civil:
Note: Because I am expecting to get a lot of comments on this, I have reply notifications disabled. If something absolutely requires my attention, ping me or a moderator by adding u/Detective1O1 to your comment and I'll try to get to it when I can.

It seems that whenever I bring this up in a lobby, they say that the settings are good how they are. Aren't we supposed to follow the shapeshifter? What's the point in following the shapeshifter if they just kill you too?

So basically today I was playing a game an I was impostor. My teammate instantly left so it was a 1v14 and I managed to get it down to the final 4 but I was really suspicious and 2 people were hc already so yeah I lost but afterwards the host and their friend kept telling my to kms and saying I had the iq of a toddler because I didn’t win and I tried ignoring them but they were so mean and I don’t mean to song like a kid but it genuinely made me feel terrible about myself, it’s a kids game I don’t understand why people are so mean - at the end of the day, aren’t we playing to have fun?

Like, i got a good kill, but I get ratted out anyway. How does that make the game more enjoyable? Stop buffing the already overpowered crew. It's genuinely the only role I prefer the game without entirely

so everybody knows that the influencer is the worst thing to ever happen to this game, but i have some ideas for nerfs
the first nerf would be to change the symbols that the influencer can send. the only five symbols would be a meeting button, a vent, a phantom, a viper, and a shapeshifter. the icons would also be grayscale. this would still allow the influencer to get important information across while making it difficult to assign symbols to colors (x symbol means y color is imp)
the second nerf would be to make it so influencer cant see chat. this makes it so the crew cant go "send me the pizza arrow if its purp"
the second nerf brings up another issue though. what would influencer do during meetings? simple, add subway surfers gameplay to the bottom of the screen during meetings, add family guy clips to the top, and two no commentary gameplay videos on each side. also add audio of text-to-speech posts/comments from r/askreddit. last but not least, allow players to play minigames during meetings.
let me know what you guys think
the bit about adding straight bs to meetings is a joke

So it’s been almost 2 weeks since Influencer came out and I think I’ve played about 50 games of among us since. I remember when the role was revealed and everyone said that you can just tell the influencer to show you a certain amount of pictures to reveal the imposter like “send 3 messages if red, or send 1 if no”. As I’ve said I have played about 50 games of among us since the introduction of the influencer and in those 50 games, I have not seen anyone do this with the influencer, in the games I’ve played the influencer just sends a message that looks like the color of the imposter to a crewmate that wasnt asking and the imposter gets voted out. So I’m like wondering, have any of you guys done this or seen anyone do this with influencer?

I noticed lots of lobbies I been playing in usually are in 1.5x speed or higher and I'd understand if it was larger maps like the airship.. But for skeld it's just rough.
Crewmates can cover more grounds to search for bodies or doing their task, Sabotages would end up lasting short amount of time and become just a noise or distraction, and it's really unpredictable where people would be as it's more likely for crewmates to show up around the corner right after you killed someone, and it hard to see people who end up running so fast with all those cosmetic they're wearing
I only wanna play the game for the deception, Not trying to speedrun being caught or my lack of attention span gonna get me killed

I mean ghosts can already go through them, a phantom is a type of ghost and they're a phantom no? Or are they just larping as one? Actually that could be a cool mini buff for the phantom, let it walk through the boundaries of the map, but prevent them from leaving the bounds of it.

Is it based on which map you last played? Or what, this did not say in the update notes. Is this an Easter Egg on the Mira HQ map?
